  • This interview took place on my fifth birthday. I was absolutely apeshit about The Beatles and especially Paul. They were all I talked about to the extent that people were calling me Paul McCartney, which made me really proud. They were magicians, really. I still feel that magic as I approach 60. They brought so much joy to my life and to my whole family, including my daughter and three granddaughters. I wish I could thank Paul in person. If only he knew what he has meant to me and still does. Thank you, Sir Paul, you truly are the greatest ever. 🍏❤
  • This is the most candid interview of PM I have heard...Its great...I don't know what he's on...but it's a very open conversation as if PM isn't concerned with any shite coming back...

This is a rare find, thank you. Reminds me of a long time ago trying to pick up Radio Luxembourg in the evening. Reception was always dodgy.

in 1968, he called helter skelter just noise. In 2018, he called Helter Skelter a loud rock and roll. times are changing

Surprised that McCartney didn’t say that some of the inspiration for Back in the USSR was the Beach Boys’ California Girls.

Paul sounds stressed out and tired of it all here. It was probably a very bad idea to begin new recordings already in January 1969. They should have gone back to India for an extended period and worked things out with the Maharishi.
  • Paul was full of crap. He misunderstood the gun article he called 'sick' because he was ignorant of the context. It was a humorous parody of the Charles M. Schulz best selling paperback's title, "Happiness Is A Warm Puppy" which was from around 1960 and had been a catch phrase. The joke went right over Paul's head. I think John knew it was humor. What was really SICK was the original cover they did for Yesterday and Today. Ugly, sick and disgusting, Paul.
