MASSIVE THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!

We are restoring the Corvette C4 ZR-1 ZR1 as featured by ‪@TheLateBrakeShow‬ recently!

In this episode we whizz the plenum off and have a nosey under it... We also test the starter motor and injectors...

For such a rare car, I would definitely keep it stock and as original as possible. If the paint is still salvageable by virtue of a proper paint correction detail, keep the original paint. Don't mod it. Give it a full service and refresh any old parts with as much OEM parts as possible. It is a true gem and one that shouldn't be molested. A full resto is what this baby needs.

Keep it stock guys. It’s a classic, don’t change it. Keep up the good work!
  • Don't worry to much about professional production, seeing two mates with the passion and love for this awesome car restoring it with your enthusiasm and current resources is fantastic
  • Great to see two guys with so much enthusiasm on rebuilding the Z1 not from the comfort of a large barn but from your driveway, brings back memories of building my special saloon Mini ! Keep up the good work
  • Please don’t put pressure on yourself, to pander to what you think, just be yourself👍

  • Loo,k up Samcrac. He is a You tuber from Florida. He rescued a water damaged ZR1 C4. You will learn a lot about the fuel injectors. Need to know. Thanks for your work on this grand old car.

Like many people I'm here after watching the Late Brake Show episode. I'm liking the true amateur feel to the project, have subscribed and am keen to see how your channel evolves. Cheers guys.

No need to apologise guys, I quite like the iPhone stuff myself, most YouTubers tend to use a combination of both phone and tripod camera , especially on a car resto type channel. As the owner of a Fibreglass car, if you are planning a paintjob, check every inch of it for "star cracks" , don't be tempted to simply filler over them as they will and do re-appear as time goes on ( ask me how I know, lol) need grinding out and gel coat to replace the ground out areas ( sorry if you knew already, I just wish someone had told me, LOL ). I agree, engine sounds great on the starter, so here's to the next few ep's then. Well done.

Love the content guys, ex-pat yank living in Australia enjoying watching true car guys embrace the simple enjoyable American sports cars. They punch well above their price point and may not have all the bells, whistles and finished interiors of the European cars but there is a charm in it that most overlook.
