  • @penguioon4251
I just assumed Oishi High School Battle was just a collective fever dream we all had for so long
  • @uugabuuga7450
honestly I have a lot of respect for Smosh doing this. they took a huge risk and gave a chance for a ton of artists to shine.

Remembering Shut Up Cartoons feels like remembering a past life
  • @SolarBalls
Smosh did a show where planets talk!? How did we ever miss that!?

A fun fact is Oushi High school battles theme was made by blood on the dance floor. which is a band known for its many many controversys, and crimes
  • There's not a lot of statements that brings more dread to my friend group than "Smosh Babies"..... It's a stain on this world.
  • I remember watching Oishi highschool battle religiously as an admittedly too young child. In fact Oishi was my first huge fictional crush and i mean REALLY HUGE. I remember every time she would come on screen or just enter my mind my heart would start beating faster. Keep in mind i was only like 4-5 when this was happening.

As a girl who was going through puberty around the time Pubertina debuted, yes. It was very relatable and I loved it. Definitely helped that it had a few somewhat edgy jokes (at least in the mind of a 10-year-old) sprinkled in, so I felt like a badass for watching it.

Smosh is a prime example of biting off more than you could chew, it was impressive that they tried to make their projects work, but in the end it's all forgotten.
  • @ECartmanist
People put more effort into analyzing old Smosh videos than Smosh did making them
  • Dude, I can't even begin to tell you how obsessed I was with Teleporting Fat Guy, Oishi, Alfred and Poe, and smosh babies when I was a kid. I'm kind of glad I forgot a lot of that stuff though. It's nice to know my taste has refined somewhat with age.

Holy shit you somehow put into words how I feel about zombies in media with the gamer shirt thing, it’s so real and I can’t explain why 😭
  • @duby3292
I'll give Oishi Highschool Battle credit for this, the jock characters were absolutely hilarious
  • @Lumiiify
I used to watch smosh babies and I believe where everything started going wrong in my life
  • Pubertina was my childhood man! It helped normalize how awkward puberty is, and how that’s normal.

It's kind of insane to think back on just how astronomically popular Smosh was. Even by today's standards their fame was another level. Being able to get numerous movies plus this insane amount of shows, plus their games and merch? Smosh was an empire and its reach into other media is still far beyond even the most famous Youtubers now. As cringe as it has become, they are a founding block of Youtube and most creators even now can probably trace their influences back to Smosh.

Seeing pubertina and oishi high school just unlocked some of my deepest childhood memories
  • @TheSlyRomano
I'm actually happy someone is talking about this channel, this was my childhood and I love some of these shows, thanks Mark

I unironically found Pubertina VERY relatable (Show aired when I was 12 and had just started puberty) and I adored the animation And Oishi High School Battle.... man I still remember that opening theme. I both wanted to be her and wanted to be WITH her
