France journey in this World Cup is even more impressive than 2018. They reached the final despite their injuries (Benzema, Pogba, Kante, Lucas, Maignan, Nkunku, Kimpembe...), despite the virus, despite the "champion curse", despite crowds against them (morocco, tunisia, england, argentina). Mbappe & co will certainly aim the next editions to mark the history.
  • France performances in World Cups since 1998: 1998 - Winners 2002 - Group Stage 2006 - Runners Up 2010 - Group Stage 2014 - Quarters 2018 - Winners 2022 - Runners Up Last 7 World Cups, Won twice and twice Runners Up...No Country has had such a run and they still have a conveyor belt of talent as seen in this World Cup that threatens to continue with this dominance for the coming years....

As an English man, nothing but respect for the French team, in my opinion the best team of the tournament, we almost had you! Looking forward to the Euros

How lucky we are to have all these guys in the same national team ! Despite many injuries, we were so close from the third star... VIVE LA FRANCE

Feel like Griezmann doesn't get enough props Dude literally carried France until the semi finals. Just look at his performance vs Morocco and England. Argentina faced France's C team in the semi finals and even then(thanks to camavinga, Mbappe and Coman) they were given a tough fight Also props to Hernandez, Giroud, Dembele, tchoumini, rabiot, upamecano,Lloris, kounde and Varane. Feel like all of them played well but slipped in the finals. France also missed some of their best players with Pogba,Kante,Benzema,Nkunku and Kimpembe but still managed to reach the finals. Beautiful world cup and an even better final match. Hope France wins the next one

No one cares it's sad how people don't appreciate Griezmann enough for his role in this team. He has 15 chances created this tournament with only Messi (17) being above him from the tournament. Not to mention Griezmann isn't used to playing a deeper playmaker role as much as others and he still nailed it well.

Respect to Mbappe for 3 doing hat trick in the final
  • I wanna see Giroud more in the national team.. He was such a great asset for france. Merci Giroud for your wonderful performance❤
  • Mbappe and Giroud carried!!! Gotta give it to Griezmann for his play and assists!!!🔥
  • Giroud is underrated, remember he was 36 this tournament!

Mbappé (KM7) 🇫🇷 deserved the Golden Boot. Matching the late Pelé's 🇧🇷 12 World Cup goals, he's not only broken the record for most goals under the age of 24. He's emulated three more legends in the final (the second player in all of the following categories): Vava 🇧🇷 (1958-1962, scored in two consecutive World Cup finals), Just Fontaine 🇫🇷 (1958, top scorer and hat-trick scorer at a World Cup for 🇫🇷), and Sir Geoff Hurst 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (1966, hat-trick in a World Cup final). And he's levelled with Ronaldo (R9) 🇧🇷 in the following: R9 (1998: 4 goals, 2002: 8 goals), KM7 (2018: 4 goals, 2022: 8 goals). For matching Pelé, Vava, Just Fontaine, and Sir Geoff Hurst, he deserves the nickname: THE FOUR HORSEMEN FINALIST.

Mbappe is with no doubt the player of the tournament
  • As a French I can understand and accept that people are respecting Argentina for winning the World Cup but people should show France the same respect because France reached the World Cup final without Pogba, Kante, Benzema, Lucas Hernandez, Kimpembe, Maignan or Nkunku. Even I myself wasn't predicting France to reach the final. And as for the players that weren't injured and played this tournament, all of them were outstanding at this tournament.

mbappé really did carry this world cup. he made everybody proud, pushed his team to success with his incredible skills and confidence, and always brang motivation and positivity. I'm sure he will achieve so much more in the future, considering that he won his first world cup when he was 19, truly astonishing for someone so young.

I always knew mbappe was world class. But after this World Cup and especially that final I realised he was SPECIAL.. simple as that
