There are two types of magicians: Right-Hand Path and Left-Hand Path. Most think of these as simple concepts - good versus evil, white magic versus black magic - but nothing could be further from the truth. You'll be surprised what strange paradoxes and nuances you encounter when cracking open grimoires of the past.

Mr Mythos should launch a Netflix series. The amount of hard work he puts in is absolutely amazingg
  • Your content is too good to be available for free šŸ˜ Thank you for your amazing consistency in keeping your videos an absolute 10/10 every time! It's ALWAYS worth the wait!

As the creator of the Church of Satan Anton LaVey stated ā€œthere is no such thing as black or white magic. Magic is just magic. It is used for either good or evil.ā€ So it is all about intent.

Subbed. It's ultra entertaining listening to this long form kind of content as opposed to every other channel which has five minutes about some topical thing I've heard a hundred times. Absolutely loved your video on the summoning ritual for a guardian angel since I'd always been interested in Aleister Crowley and his involvement with it. Thanks for doing all the leg work for such in depth content.

Demons, demonology, ancient occult and Magic, these are the stuff I always look forward in every your uploads Mr. Mythos. I can say I it's hard to find these kinds of contents and topics like this in this platform, the recent ones including this one are my absolute new favorites. Thanks for another magickal weekend, man!

The true magician and alchemist walks the middle path, integrating and growing from the good and the bad to become his best/golden self, facing and shedding the impurities of oneself to purify it into alchemical gold. šŸ’œāœ”ļøšŸ’œ

No matter how pure or good the intentions of a human being, once granted too much power over the unseen forces and entities, eventually it will become corrupt and fall victim to temptation. People who become proficient in the arts of summoning, enslaving and commanding other entities, also become arrogant, careless, and eventually find themselves praying to those same entities, or bound in pacts with them. Traditions of magic associated with Jinns, Spirits (either those of the dead or those of nature), and the like, meaning essentially shaman and druid traditions, know that engaging in such practice is always a trade, a barter, or a plea. They know that magic is not the way to greatness or absolute power, but a difficult path of communication with the unseen world to help others. Do not be foolish enough to believe that you will succeed where others failed. Know your boundaries, and if you happen to successfully channel magic power help people, don't take it as granted, and beware of becoming a victim of your own hubris. If you feel a longing towards magic arts, or you feel like your life confronts you with ideas and entities no matter where you look or go, look for teachers, for direction, for people with a clean heart. Do not make the mistake of isolating yourself from your people and the outside world, pouring your mind into magic books and pouring the contents of said books into your mind, until it's sick and twisted. Be aware that our world needs healing and perhaps a lot of white magic, but your magic will not stay white forever, if you forget to love, to care for others, and to live along the way. (I do not identify with any of the world religions.)

i would be EXSTATIC to see Mr. Mythos cover Odinā€™s self-sacrifice and the origins and use of runes through time.
  • @AuburnCowboys
Your content is ridiculously meticulous, yet you explain in a way that us laymans understand. Youā€™re one of my favorite people on this app. Thank you for all your hard work, skill, and dedication.ā€™

I honestly look forward to Mr Mythos content more so than anything else on YouTube! I know this will be engrossing before watching! Thank you Mr Mythos!

I'll say it because no one else has, Yeatz is a badass and one of my favorite historical figures in both the occult and poetry. Funny thing most don't know about Yeatz, he was a dyslexic who couldn't read or write but taught himself to do so. Out of this he became one of the greatest poets and philosophical writers the west has ever known. "Don't judge a book by it's cover, just read the book".

You go so much in depth, and it's easy to see how much work you've put into research, filtering, and presentation. I thoroughly enjoy every one!
  • @lucyjane3803
I swear every time I watch an occult related video Aleister Crowley shows up and it is some wacky story about him I haven't heard before šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
  • Letā€™s go! Been waiting. Would love more demonology mythos!! Top quality, love to listen while I work.
  • @kalvincarld
I came here to learn, and left having a laughing fit imagining the Christian God joining the Norse Gods and Satan in a Marvel-style crossover just to curse a person with unstoppable farts. Thank you, Mr. Mythos!
  • @kristiec1376
I have been doing research on the Tibetan (ro-langs) and Hindu (vetala/preta). I love that you mentioned this subject in this podcast! Always enjoy your subjects and unique perspective. Thanks again.
  • @Ryo7_7
I believe magic is based on the practitioners intent. Like some spells or practice requiring the person to fast, pure in the heart, knowledge of other steps prior, etc. Great video. šŸ‘šŸ¾
  • @technodrome
Mr. Mythos putting the grim in grimoire once again. Epic drop brother!
  • Mr. Mythos your notification of new videos makes me smile-call me a dork but it fills me with such inexplicable joy! Thanks for all the work you have to put into these top-shelf videos! I especially appreciate all your research and pragmatic, yet very real approach to teaching a complex conversation about magic rituals, mythology, philosophies unusual happenings/places And that where history doesnā€™t look into often! I have rewatched and shared the mythology of Japan and inner earth content which I am still one foot a tuck in that rabbit hole thanks to you Mr. Mythos! On the topic, Iā€™m just thinking about how science and history can make magic more real to some or debunked to others! History and sciences/medicine were done recorded and shared with intentions of their own. We can be often found thinking in black and white ā€˜I know surely I know not everythingā€™ and when it comes to magic-You can pull any tarot card or burn a bit of hair-but what were your intentions in doing so? Intention is maybe magic itself? And ritual is the manifestation for the perception of our intention?? No matter the path or perhapsā€¦even the intention of using magic-maybe only one need to believe in magic and the power to wield it to their benefits or detriments then beyond that; the nameless unknowns, the incompressible itself-to be not feelings of humbled or terrified remaining in a state of petty rage, or jealousy, desiring of earthly power or even to become our perception of God-it seems like the beginning of a tale of caution of ā€˜what goes around.ā€™ Opposites attract like magnets and we often sell our fates by trying our hardest to avoid them-like the Greek Story of Oedipus-poor guy. Thereā€™s nothing like a tragic exception to hardline rules. Both paths. Lead to the other. Never take things too* seriously The joke is always on you! šŸ§ššŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Good vibes, rad omens, well wishes and white magic šŸŖ„ may it always be so, for Mr. Mythos! Cheers and thanks again šŸ™
