A video of the new Detech 13" Ultimate coil on my White's V3i. Several nice finds from the park and the final footage is worth the wait. Enjoy and HH!!

  • Your video does more to show the power of the Detech 13" inch coil than any company advertising or any air tests. Hearing the difference in the sounds when you sweep the target area with the two different coils has totally sold me on the Detech 13". If not for that coil, you might have just passed by that coin and never found it.

I get quite bit of hot rock in a local park; have found that reducing the sensitivity helps make them less of a problem. Usually, they don't make my pin pointer buzz a lot; it just makes chirping type noises. Nice find on that quarter. I also found one of about the same age and was excited like you. Lot's of fun!

Excellent videos, I must have watched them 30 times. Thanks so much.

Beautiful quarter! Nice going! V3i is a hot machine!
  • Very nice find. I've pulled a few of those in an old park I hunt here on western ny. It's always great to see that silver edge in the bottom of the hole. Really surprised that the green frequency line was not more dominant on that coin. Usually it will be on my v3i. Thanks for sharing a great video. Gotta love this hobby.

Update! I just got the ultimate 13" coil after watching this video. Love it. Light weight and really clear signals. Thanks.

I've been using the ultimate on my V3i since about a week after they hit the market.  I have dug some deeper coins but haven't noticed an improved depth over my D2 coil however I have dug more than a few on edge coins in area's that I harmmered hard with my D2. Maybe there's an on edge SLQ in one of my hammered spots just waiting. I honestly think the 13" is a keeper in my arsenal. Big congrats on the SLQ(standing liberty quarter).  I leave the my settings the same for coil size, the Detech really doesn't read as accurate as the stock D2 does for depth especially on the shallower targets.  It's also remarkable on tiny objects for being such a large coil. I might also add that I do have a Super 12 that I used on my MXT but retired that for the D2 before the Vision or V3 even hit the market and I was finding much more deeper targets than I ever did with the Super 12. The soil here in Michigan is mild in the south west part.

I use the White's double D coil with my V3i and I get great depth and target separation. Also I have a DFX that I use a larger 15" coil on while relic hunting. But I like the V3i's three frequency set up. Great video, very informative, keep them coming!

Hey you may have already addressed this but I just came across this video ..did you check those "hot rocks" to see if they were meteorites? Especially if you find a bed of several hot rocks.??
  • @erewr2116
how did you set up the metal detector?
  • Great video and congrats on the standing liberty quarter. I used to own a v3 spectra and sold it. Big mistake for me! Now I'd like to purchase one again with the detech ultimate coil. Looks like a great combination and a winner in my book! Also, I understand that the new coil is better against EMI as well? Congrats again!

Great find!! Good job. So ultimately what's your take on the Detech 13" coil?
  • @iceviking3
Excellent vid thank you i believe the ultimate is my next coil. Also you may want to flip the s rod over machine will feel better balanced. Its designed to go a certain way HH
  • @genemurphy7965
There are many all over the country who claim the V3i is unable to detect a us quarter or dime at ten inches even with the ultimate coil. Please do a depth test and lets see just how deep the V3i will go. Thanks so much.
  • @swampfizz
do you use the 10 inch coil selection or the super 12/300 on startup program for the Detech 13 coil...thanks

Amazing find ... thanks so much for sharing. You mention at the beginning of the video that you are running in a "custom" coin and jewelry program. I'm new to the V3I (2 weeks now) and I'm wondering if this old guy (70 year old newbie) can possible learn half of what this machine is capable of doing. Would it be possible for you to share a little info about the modifications to the c&j program that you find helpful? Really wish I could hire a coach to help with the learning curve. Even coaching by phone would be welcome. ty for your time, George
