I am glad you put both of the curtains up. It looks great.

Hi Sean, can't wait for your Aberdare trip, I was born there in '53 and left in '65 for Canada where I still am. Last trip to Aberdare was in '83 ,wow, so long ago, I bet so much has changed! As a youngster my uncle would take me to Aberdare park to watch the motorcycle racing, and net fish for tiddlers in the park pond. Wonderful and innocent times!!!
  • I personally don't think you need anything on the walls in your bedroom as your lovely curtains are patterned and take up a whole wall. You don't want the room too enclosed. Looking forward to seeing your trip to Aberdare as I have never been there

Your curtains look great and definitely better with the two curtains up at the other window. That bread maker was well traveled Sean 😊

A Fish called Rhondda made me laugh out loud. Love the curtains and there's room for some small pictures too. Looking very cosy. ❤We'll see how long it is before the cats are back under the duvet. 😁

Surely the curtains at the top of the stairs should be apples and pears.🤣🤣👍i miss the bread maker.😂😂

Hi Sean, to really reap the curtain’s potential you need to gather the header tape. First, and VERY IMPORTANT, secure the header tape strings together at the centre edge, then on the outer edge pull the strings all at once until the curtain top is half the width of the rail then tie off. Distribute the gathers evenly along the top edge. You can use this type of curtain with the poles you bought, you just need rings to go on the pole and then there are curtain hooks suitable for hooking into the rings, just so you know for next time. 😊

As a child, in the 60s, I used to go to Aberdare park every Sunday morning with my father - an amateur photographer. Haven't been there for years but I remember that it was very well maintained with lots of flower beds full of chrysanthemums of all colours as well as other flowers. I loved the three outdoor swimming pools there as well - nearly drowned in one mind! The park is probably still a good place to go to for a walk.

Orange is my husband's favourite colour. In fact, he wears so much of it I daren't remove my sunglasses. A stark bedroom, I believe, can be an inspirational asset for any keen writer, like a blank page, just waiting for something. To gaze out of an upper room window or any window, in fact, and catch the simplicity of a moment is artwork in itself.

Hi Sean, When I was a girl and at junior school our headmaster (Mr Stinton) put on an eisteddfod every year. I remember making a fairy garden out of an old wooden seed tray, with a mirror for a pond! The unusual thing about it was... we lived in Yorkshire! I don't think he was Welsh, but I always think of him when eisteddfods are mentioned 😁 Those curtains look lovely and keep your bedroom minimalistic, much better for relaxing...
  • Thought the dinner menu prices looked quite reasonable at the School House restaurant. Loved the architecture of that beautiful old church. The masonry of by gone years is really amazing! Definitely like the two curtain plan. Very nice. I think a beautiful antique mirror over your bed would look great but that is me. Have a great time at the singing festival. Hope you are able to film !🤞🏻

Beware the moisture getting trapped between the windows and your lovely new blinds - black mould is horrible

Look's like typical Welsh weather.....I lived in Wales for nearly nineteen years and I love fishing. Most of my fishing was done in the rain...

I'm glad you're coming to terms with the size of your lemons Sean 🍋 🍋

To save money get a dehumidifier. It will dry your washing help with condensation and you can use the water it collected for your plants
  • @kenneyg100
Perhaps you could put up a floating shelf into the nook in your bedroom and have a few plants? That might be a good idea. The curtains and blind are beautiful.
  • @VinnyDrones
Couple of small house plants in that room will be lovely
  • @NavyCopMA1
That church at 2:40 is beautiful. Love the older architecture. I get the sparse aesthetic as well. For me, I need a couple of things up on wall but to each his own!
  • Love the bedroom nice and cosy your right about not having things on the wall a distraction from getting some sleep did you enjoy the pie chips peas. Looking forward to the day out video if time weather and circumstances allow.
