When I hear "terrorists win" i begin shaking and crying. It must be changed to "bad guys win" immediately.
-
I miss map based character models so bad... where all my boys gone Valve??
-
"Let's keep it clean, it's a family show" Not them playing a rated M game, about terrorism.
-
LESS character MORE gambling LESS story MORE gambling LESS controversy MORE GAMBLING
-
7:37 The Italian flag hanging from that windowsill was of utmost controversy, and every past, present, and future player of CS will sleep soundly, knowing that it has been removed from the map forever

Counter-Terrorists vs Terrorists is fucking cool. It's pathetic and embarrassing to rip out more and more of the game's identity to satisfy people who will never be happy until Counter-Strike: For Kids becomes the official competition version of the game.
-
philip this is legitamately such a unique and interesting video about marketing and social consequencies of mass medium entertainment and i am really proud of you and glad you made it
-
The new counter-strike era is so much about raw competitive play, even the casual mode players are toggling cheats to not lose

The "seriousness" of Counter-Strike is one of the main aspects that appealed to me as a kid. I liked how "realistic" the Rainbow Six were but I found them too tactical and complex, plus they didn't show you a weapon model. Counter-Strike was arcadey and accessible but still serious enough for me to imagine myself playing part of a high stakes anti-terrorist mission. I miss that genre of first person shooters so much. The CoD MW campaign nails the dangerous tacticool atmosphere in many missions and I'm sure that's why many people find them memorable so I know I'm not alone on this.

personally I think a game themed after counterterrorism should aim for the most varied offensive political imagery possible. make a map with PRC special forces gunning down Uyghur militants, one with Black Wasps vs CIA infiltrators, and so on down the line until players need a reference guide to remember which side are supposed to be "the good guys." the incessant arguments will be great for engagement.
-
I really miss the Separatists. They were so iconic, especially the "I hate these chickens" line and the beef they had with those birds.
-
"fix the cheater issue that people think the game has" contraversial there Philip
-
In csgo if you put "-language pirate" in launch options, CT's where British navy in the UI and T's where pirates
-
If every game bends to the will of these “potential problematic risks” we’re gonna end up with My Team vs. Enemy Team like COD did a couple years back.
-
censorship needs to go the fuck away
-
amazing video philip! really love the part where the ritz cracker ad plays before the video has even started
-
I call this death of creative freedom personally.

Man, I just don't like some of the new agents being ripped literally from "CS1" and sold back to us. Any other company that does that would get fire all over their feeds PLUS ... I feel like the personality in each faction's voiceovers, along with the map-specific faction use, really gave life to the whole package. now the Agents talk like corporate greenwashed advertisements, and they look like over designed, toothless, characters from a mobile game.

I missed having country flags next to the guns in the buy menu, just a little bit of some actual information someone could learn while playing. I'm no gun nut, without CSGO I never would have learned the Famas was French or the Negev Israeli. I also miss blood pooling beneath someone when they died on top of the bullet wounds, and you could shoot the dead to make them move which should be a thing :/

CS2 is becoming more sterile and corporate and i hate that
