Going on a 2 week vacation while being on 7th grade , and then end up being a freshmen is very relatable good luck !!!

for everyone going into freshman year watching this, here's some genuine advice from a sophomore:) first, GRADES MATTER!! people already say grades are super important so take it so seriously. in middle school grades don't matter too much. you get a bad grade in middle school, not a big deal. you get a bad grade in highschool (anything lower than a D) you are going to have to retake that class. retaking a class isn't fun at all. (personal experience) second, make smart choices on who your friends with. this one should go without saying, but avoid being friends with the kids who think they are cool because they vape in the bathroom 💀 you're guilty apon association and you will get in trouble just for being with them when they do it. Don't be friends with people who don't care about their grades, whether you think it will happen or not, your grades will slip as well. don't be friends with the people who don't care about school and think they are badass. third, PLEAAAASSEE don't be obnoxious in the halls, lunchroom, classroom and especially the bathrooms. nobody thinks you're cool because of how loud you are and how much of a statement you make. you'll just end up pissing people off. bathrooms in particular because people just want to go in and come out, not be bothered by freshman singing or talking to their friends in the bathroom. It's also important not to stand in groups in the hallway. it's annoying and chances are you're just getting in peoples way. stand off to the side. forth, don't try to be the teachers pet. if a teacher has a particular liking towards you then cool but don't be weird about it. people will make fun of you. nobody likes a teachers pet. fifth, don't be a bully. this should also go without saying but some people just don't get it. bullying someone doesn't make you cool, it makes people hate you. you're in highschool now, grow up and learn to just accept people who are different from you. sixth, time FLIEEESSS freshman year. it feels like just a few months ago i was freaking out about going into highschool. after the first month though, time flew by and poof it was june. have fun and savor those memories. seventh, none of the upperclassmen will remember you so don't take it too seriously and dont try to be cool infront of them. last, DONT DATE THE SENIORS BRO SERIOUSLY

As someone who's going into their sophomore year of highschool and seeing all the upcoming ninth graders, I say: Welcome to highschool freshies, hope it's a good year, the seniors are the most chill ppl there it's the sophomores who do all the "it's because you're a freshman" shit. It really isnt as bad as people say, just get through math alive and you're good :)
