We’re big fans of the survival horror game series Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNaF). It’s about these life-sized animatronics from a kid’s Pizza parlor that wander the halls at night doing very bad things. When we got this cute dancing bear as a joke gift, we knew immediately that we wanted to turn it into a Freddy Fazbear animatronic. We picked Withered Freddy Fazbear as our model, who first appeared in the game Five Nights at Freddy's 2. He’s got a great old look with tattered skin and wires hanging out. It’s exactly what I imagine an old ShowBiz Pizza or Chuck E. Cheese animatronic would look like in my nightmares.

Half of Freddy’s body is made with upholstery foam/high density foam. This stuff is hard to sculpt, but you really only need a sharp utility knife and something to sand it with. It’s great for this project because it’s able to compress with the bear’s movements and still keep its shape. His feet were sculpted with Apoxy Sculpt and his head and hands were 3D printed so that we could match the game model. We flocked all the 3D printed parts to make him look fuzzy and tie the two different textures together.

We’re so happy with how our FNaF Withered Freddy animatronic came out. We've been wanting to make Freddy Fazbear in real life, and it was nice to start with a small animatronic base. With the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie coming out this Halloween, we’re hoping to do even more FNaF animatronics! We’d eventually love to make life-sized animatronics of the whole crew - Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and of course Freddy. Let us know which one you’d want to see first!!

As a previous FNaF fan-animator. This is RIDICULOUSLY accurate to the in-game model. Really impressive! (Note: A lot of people seem to have misunderstood what I am saying. I was NOT an official animator for the series. I was a FAN-ANIMATOR who [as a hobby] would rip models from games such as Help Wanted, Security Breach, etc. To use in animations. I am not associated or affiliated with Scott Cawthon or Steel Wool in any way. Just wanted to clarify.)

I love how you incorporated the wires that were clipping through his feet model, just shows how accurate you are to include a mistake scott made when modeling him

I dont think ppl understand that sometimes going smaller in scale of project is so hard as all the details gets intimate and harder to control. THIS WAS SUCH A MASTERPIECE. You guys are truly gaining more and more tools/skills to making these cool stuff! Aaaah. Would love to see you guys’ work in some kind of convention. Halloween con booth maybe? 👀
  • I love how they just continue to do halloween-ish projects even though its not halloween or October anymore.

For those who want to know what the empty battery pack was for the sound box, which was visible when they took the external features off (the dots arranged shaped in a hexagon).

Five nights at Freddy’s is one of my favorite movies to watch, I even started collecting the vinyl figures as well as the stuffed animals of them. Keep making more awesome vids and keep up the great work❤
  • @suki_ig
This is actually uncannily accurate to the real FNAF model. I think it would have been funnier if you put a spring in his hat to make it bounce too!
  • The original bear was cute and charming, but turning it into Freddy made it super creepy. Even the movements are far jerkier without the fabrics of the original to tone it all down. It looks fantastic! I think more mini projects will be great variety for the channel. Stay wicked, team!
  • @e48403
This really inspired me to make my own withered freddy and it would be wicked to have one of your freddy heads as one of the parts
  • @Dogegamz214
This is my favorite thing I had ever seen on YouTube!🎉
  • Something to think about for future projects, you can adjust your slicer settings to print "fuzzy" skin. It's extra detail with no extra modeling. Looks awesome btw!

Jay, Believe me when I say that your production and editing efforts do not go unnoticed. Your videos continue to become more polished and professional. The integration of your sponsor into this latest project was pure genius. Wicked Makers continues to impress with every project.

I noticed a speaker on the bear when you ripped his skin off, maybe the battery compartment was for the speaker? Imagine making that thing play the power out jingle!
  • @Bogey_Topper
I could not stop grinning ear to ear while watching this! It turned out stunning and y’all are incredibly talented. Thank you to whatever rabbit hole I fell down that led me here. Awesome channel, can’t wait to watch more! FNAF is the best and y’all are amazing!
  • @spiderparades
Finally, a DIY FNAF project that stays faithful to the original designs/concepts! I love the toy makeovers, I can totally imagine a windup Chucky just running/crawling all over the place or a Pennywise floating around with a balloon, based off the fairy toys that would float over your hand.
  • That is incredible. It looks like it jumpscared you so hard it literally jumped right out of the computer screen. It was almost uncanny--it felt like the game render was Photoshopped into the scene at a couple of points. Outstanding work. More FNAF stuff from you would be great if this is how well you can do with it!

the withered freddy is so accurate i watch fnaf gameplays every week .you probably can win a guiness world record some serious artistry here
