Hitler, 1889-1934: The Making Of The Führer | The Hitler Chronicles

Published 2024-03-28
Based on the most extensive compilation of archive material today, with almost half of it previously unpublished sources, Hitler's life is shown in detail against the social backdrop of the first half of the 20th century in a contemporary interpretation.

00:00:02:11 - A Ne'er-do-well and a Private (1889 - 1918)

When a young Hitler joins the Bavarian army and becomes a soldier and a patriot, for the first time he feels like he belongs. But when WW1 ends, he loses the only regular life he's known.

00:52:14:04 - A Revolutionary and an Ideologist (1919 - 1925)

Hitler's coup attempt in 1923 fails and he is arrested and jailed for over a year. He spends his time in prison writing Mein Kampf, an outlining of his political views.

01:41:29:02 - A Party Leader and a Mob Orator (1926 - 1932)

Out of prison Hitler establishes the NSDAP to achieve power by legal means. As its sole leader, he develops the party into a movement that soon becomes the strongest force in parliament.

02:30:34:02 - A Murd*rer (1933 - 1934)

Hitler gets rid of his political opponents and those who brought him to power with lies and violence. Now he only has to get rid of the leaders within the NSDAP. What will he do?

In April 1944, two Jewish prisoners miraculously escaped from Auschwitz. The news they brought presented the Allies with one of the greatest moral questions of the 20th century: Should we bomb Auschwitz? https://youtu.be/W5-5GKNlcIs
  • Amazing high quality footage, and the narration is excellent as well. Very well done.

Hitler's mom and dad weren't 2nd cousins. Hitler's dad married his first cousin's daughter, so Hitler's parents were first cousins once removed. That's why they needed permission to marry.

Got fatigued by the repetitive hitting of one piano key and then the repetitive hitting of another piano key. And then the repetitive hitting of the first piano key followed by the repetitive hitting of the second piano key. And then the repetitive hitting of the first...

Who narrates and provides the journal readings? I thought I might have heard Olivia Colman and Matt Smith?

18:15 That is actually a very well done sketch by his classmate. Never seen it. Comparing him in the picture "peculiar" to Charlie Chapman for laughs was done at the time in the late 20's? early 30's by the US, but the media nor the world were soon not laughing at all in a short few years. :(

This is a remarkable telling of an obscure time for an Austrian street painter who turned the German nation upside down.
  • Who thought placing an alarm tone every 10 seconds and at random times throughout the video would be a good idea? Not only is it annoying, but it does not add any benefit to the video.
  • The making of the Fuerur started in Vienna. After WW II, the Prestigious Fine Arts Academy of Vienna wholeheartedly accepted all applicants.

NIe można było tej bibliografii umieścić w napisach na filmie? Przecież tak ten materiał jest nie do oglądania.
  • @nebeln
Is this a reworked edition? I have seen this earlier some weeks ago and this release is 15h old.

The bell ringing in the background gets really annoying.
