  • Hey Thanks!! I had to cut each and every one of them, and then drill the holes. Took forever. I would recommend buying the chain that has attachments. I'm going to do it for the next build.
  • Each track is 4ft long. I bought 10ft of the chain and cut it and that wasn't very hard to do. Them be sure to get a connection link. As far as the undercarriage I don't remember but I think I have a video that says it. Just think of the dozer footprint as a small rectangle. It's a tad bit longer than it is wide. So off memory I think it's 14x 16 inches. Hope this helps!
  • @SHOPPMUSIC Thanks for the comment....glad your enjoying them! Obrigado pelo comentário.... fico contente por sua desfrutar-los!
  • @csscristian It was number 40 chain, with hollow pin. its not quite a motorcycle chain but bigger than a bike chain. I bought it from (search) McMaster Carr under chains, its also where i bought the 4 wheels and all the sprockets. What would be a good chain would be the chain with attachments (search) Tsubakimoto Chain Co. Next model I build I will use these guys for my chain. Hope this helps.

First off thank you so very much for your service!! You are a great American!! I can't thank you enough!! Secondly, awesome build!! . My question is about the piece that connects to the chain, not the bottom plate but the one that hooks directly to the chain itself. Did you custom make each one or did you find a pre-made bracket somewhere that fit #40 chain?
  • I just barely cut the bend line with a dermal tool and then clamped the piece in a vise and used a hammer to bend it over. You can see how I did it in my first build video.
