Honda Element | Best Stealth Camper for Vanlife?

Hello! This is a tour of my friend Bryan's stealth camper that he converted with the help of his Dad. Bryan lived out of this van for a 3 months while traveling cross country in Florida, New Mexico, Death Valley, Slab City, Pacific Northwest, Yellowstone National Park, Oklahoma, Utah and more places that you'll hear about in this video. Bryan and his Dad were able to create an elevated sleeping platform which is the foundation of this stealth camping Honda Element conversion. This van isn't completely off-grid, but it gets the job done despite how small the 2007 Honda Element is. Bryan was able to have a decent amount of storage space, due to the fact that the elevated platform raised the bed off of the floor of the car and allowed for hidden storage. Bryan created custom window covers and cutouts that allow him to camp anywhere without being noticed. In the video, Bryan also explains how he finds the perfect stealth camping spots in crowded areas like mechanics shops, grocery store parking lots, movie theaters, and more. If you ever wanted to learn how to live out of your car or van, this is the ultimate video for you!

Where would you take this stealth camping rig?

I had no idea that Honda continued with the 2 tone body work up until 2008. Your vehicle is identical to my 2003 model. I have 222k on it.
  • Dude this was great! I literally stealth camp in our Honda Element every weekend. Its my daily driver, family car and stealth camper.

Travel safe and thank you for sharing
  • I have your twin, Elvira! I bought a cot for mine. I wanted to be able to sit up, have room for a 60 quart cooler, and a bucket toilet! Plenty of storage under the cot and in an overhead cargo net. I'll be buying a tailgate tent this year because... The hardest thing about camping in an Element is pulling up your pants! Safe travels fellow Elemental!❤👣
  • Toyota seems to usually get the ‘High Ho’ for having the longest mileage engines and best performing vehicle..but, most people don’t know that a Honda vehicle will run circles around a Toyota not only in mileage records but total performance as well hands down! Great video, but, idk how you live in such a small area! Lol! I mean, I’m not a real big man but I ‘am’ 5foot 8 inches tall and I don’t think I’d fit in a Honda such as yours! 😂 Safe travels! Waving from Houston,Tx! ~Jim~
