There's no winner at McLaren today, Lando was robbed a potential win, Oscar was robbed a clean maiden victory, and McLaren embarrassed themselves once again with their brainrot strategy team.

It was Piastris race to win, and then mclarens strategy team got a stroke and fucked him over like they have done previously. This is all on McLaren management

Piastri should have pitted first, then Norris, then let them race. When the pitwall starts to dictate the racing, all I want to do is switch off the telly.

McLaren botching a clear comfortable win for Piastri pissed me off. They really tainted that by unnecessarily pitting Lando first probably bc some outlier probability they felt they needed to cover off (Lewis was 6-7 seconds behind Norris after he pitted, showing they truly didnt need to pit him first to cover HAM off). McLaren seems like a team itching to create drama for their selves just like Ferrari. Only RB and Merc seem to handle these situations most consistently well, and it's honestly this immaturity from McLaren that's costing them this year. It's not a foregone conclusion that these issues just go away overnight. McLaren will botch this again, I guarantee it. Norris and Piastri both just racing as they should, its McLaren's job to avoid these situations bc it makes their drivers look bad and consequently brews trouble within the team for such blatant mismanagement. Mclaren effectively highlighted bad aspects of their drivers instead of the headline being how great their drivers are. Personally if I'm Oscar OR Lando I'd be pissed at my team. Lando was right to say over the radio, then why did you pit me first? Hes absolutely right, McLaren being new to this front runner is really showing their lack of ability to manage their drivers in these crucial situations. They covered some probability brought to them by a intern instead of thinking wholesale about how to position McLaren to win this race, and that's the kind of rookie nonsense that creates inner tension. Their car is great, their strategy, consistently, costs them way more than people realize.

I'd be pissed too, what if Lando loses the championship by 7 points all so McLaren could gift Piastri his first win. Were I Lando I'd be telling Oscar he owes me a reach around.

if this was a horse race instead it would have been race fixing which is illegal, time to change the rules i think
