I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and this song would get everybody on the dance floor through my teenage years my 20s my 30s my 40s and now I’m 56 and it still gets people going. One of the greatest classics of all times. Absolutely timeless.

I love this song, after working my whole life this song helped me through the months of not working,I can tell you once a person retires it's hard to adjust to life without working, but if a person has music to help them it's the best form of therapy anybody can ask for, play it again
  • In my honest opinion, the horn sequence is the absolute best part of the song! If I hear this song without the horns, I get a major attitude!😂

Kudos to Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff. For their incredible writing talent. And for giving us a sound that is timeless. Also for making us aware of the talent that Philadelphia had and has to offer.
