Real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist Dean Graziosi embodied the “mind over matter” practice to extraordinary levels. By taking control of and transforming his mindset he was able to stop being defined by a past of family struggles and failing businesses, and start writing the story he wanted to live. The author of Millionaire Success Habits explains why getting out of your own way is the key to success on this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu.

QUOTES:

“if you're running away from pain and that's your driver, great, use it. Actually, feel the pain more. Don't ignore it and live a life of status quo or even a life of struggle because of that. In fact, let the pain sink in and let it be your driver and then once you get past those, then other things kick in that could be your motivator…” [3:23]

“Every time I align my values, my soul, my purpose, whatever it is you want to call it, with my businesses or my profits, they always soar without having to obsess on the numbers.” [9:25]

“What stands between us and where we want to go is never what we think it is. It's not the economy, it's not the president. It's not that somebody already dominated the health food industry or dominated Facebook advertising or dominated TV advertising or there's no room left. It's never that. It's always the story we tell ourselves and why we can't achieve that.” [11:03]

“I don't think we should drive for money. I think we should drive to be a better version of ourselves.” [30:31]

Tom, it was a pleasure to come on impact theory and share everything I wish I could have been taught when I was getting started. Thanks for having me man, let’s keep helping :)🙌🏽

You guys may not believe this but Dean changed my life. I was 28 working in a warehouse dead end job and watched his real estate infomercial which motivated me and made me believe. 10 years later I own a successful real estate business. So believe in yourself is the most important habit anywhere.

Thoughts become words Words become actions Actions become habits Habits become systems Systems become you

For me, this interview was like Lord Of The Rings: once I’d started watching I simply could not stop. I found it seriously compelling. Thanks.

“You’re gonna make all the money you want. You’ll have all the success you want. Make sure your soul is aligned with that money.”
  • I loved his mantra about telling himself if he can get through this he can get through anything. As well as what he said about changing your story little by little so that you change your beliefs that are holding you back and actually wrestle and fight with them! Thought that was so awesome
  • @abdihussein534
This makes me not to skip his ads nomore. He embodies what it means to be a persistent jerk. He's relatable to my journey.

It’s amazing to see theses two guys in a room together. I’ve been listening to both for a year. With dean I’m telling you now, he contributes a lot of his time to bringing value to his audience. Start taking action and learn from people who have made it and man he’s genuine and a great dude.

Dean is an inspiration for me. Long story short, I was kicked out of the house and staying in a flea bag motel. His commercial came on and I bought the books. Fast forward twelve years later and I own four duplexes, all with positive cash flow. Thank you Dean
  • @Inerize
The stories we tell ourselves determine our success in life. Change the stories, change yourself ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
  • @tarunmakhija22
Love the concept of 'protect your confidence'. I look back and see I lost a lot because I didn't protect my confidence. Thank you for this reinforcement.
  • @TheZGALa
It has been more than 3 years that I have worked to stop telling myself negative stories and transform my limiting beliefs into greatness, and just the last month I am finally seeing the external effects. It is challenging but not impossible to hold a new story when it does not yet appear true. The truth unfolds in response to what we focus on, and what energy we focus with. Life is an amazing ride! Get some on ya! And never give up on believing yourself better.
  • I love how he mentions that the beliefs, rules, habits, etc are the same in about 90% of the books out there. The more I learn and watch, I realize how true that is. #BTA6
  • @RamblingRamul
Never heard of this man.. but I can tell I am going to replay this. Not easy to focus when you are working on your dreams. BTW I just love listening to Impact Theory when I'm working. It's the best!

I gained all respect for him after this interview. I was always annoyed by his ads, kind of felt like he was another liar. But he is proof of true success.
  • @g_dub
I'm really glad you had Dean on Impact. I have seen his ads on YouTube and thought he was another shallow salesman trying to get rich off a ponze scheme. Now I see that he is an amazing man that I should be looking up to. Whats funny is now I am going to buy his book. I've made watching an episode of Impact every day as part of my morning routine and it is changing the way I am thinking. I know I have greatness within me, but the fear of failure or making the wrong decisions often cripples me. I thought I was the only one who felt like this, but I can see it's a normal part of the process in which I have to work past. Thank you for everything you have done Tom. At first I didn't like you, but now through this platform I admire you. Thank you for giving back so generously and one day I hope to be a successful guest sitting next to you sharing my feelings with all of your hopeful fans. Take care brother.

This has been one of the best interviews, Dean has reached a level of self-awareness that is only achieved by a few, and he has a sense of humility mixed with conviction that can help you question your own beliefs without your ego feeling attacked.
  • You might think these are mere videos but if you apply these tactics you can actually help your situation.
