The Cubs introduced their new pitcher, Shōta Imanaga, at the Cubs Convention on Friday. Imanaga talked about the connection he felt when signing with the Cubs, having a Japanese teammate in Seiya Suzuki, his 'Throwing Philosopher' nickname, what he learned playing in the WBC and more.

    Shota Imanaga captured the hearts of Cubs fans with the lyrics "Go Cubs Go." I'm also Japanese, and the thing that left the most impression on me about the Cubs was the movie ``Back to the Future 2.'' The joke there was, "In the future, in 2015, the Cubs are in the World Series." It's amazing that this actually happened in 2016. Number 18 was the number worn by then-MVP Ben Zobrist, and as Shota said, I think it's a number that Cubs fans have a lot of attachment to.
