A conversation about two engines to whom Sodor is a second home. They have more in common than one might expect.

“ it was like Thomas in a way but except she had brains which made her not like Thomas at all” BRO THAT LINE
  • I don't think Nia is a bad character, just that she was forced in. This makes her feel very much a part of the railway and I love it.

THIS is what Forever and Ever should've been. If Michael White had written this episode, this is probably the direction he'd have gone in. Great job once again.

Wow we are truly being blessed with these audio stories one after another

I like how both Gordon and Nia are able to come to an understanding when it comes to the topic of change despite having differing views. Gordon is very clearly a traditionalis while Nia embraces change. Neither is truly right or wrong for feeling that way, they just do. But they are able to understand the other’s perspective
  • I’ve always wanted to like Nia. She had such promise in the BWBA movie, but she got pushed to the side so much that the best they gave her was a stereotypical job and not many in the fandom try to explore her potential due to bias. I adore the cheekiness, intelligence and genuine concern for Gordon that I saw in series 22. It’s so sweet knowing how she, just like Rebecca, positively left an impact on Gordon and their conversations about their history and desires perfectly reflects that. This will go down as one of my favourites from you.

Absolutely love this little story Lemmy. This is how forever and ever should have been written, the same thing goes for Nia character in this story. And each time a replacement is talked about my mind keeps going back and forth from Pip and Emma to Rebecca. Either one goes really. Keep up the good work.

Its never and bad day when you upload and it shows. I really like this story and how it takes two characters that at face value seem completely different and shows them finding common ground, with gordon accepting how the lner and its glory days are long go now and nia accepting how she will never see her old friends from her old railway. I find it carthatic with how they both interact and while relating from there experiences both are also content with there life on sodor both old and new. It really shows how gordon has matured in his twilight years and how much wisdom nia can provide despite others underestimating again. I really enjoyed listening to this and desperate measures lemmy!

I love this take on Nia, and the concept of aging in the engines is so meaningful! Great work, as always

I literally sqeulled when I heard Nia. She's such a underused character that I'm happy you used to justice

I will never not be amazed by the passion and enthusiasm you put into videos like these. Wonderful work.

If Nia was integrated in the RWS this would be a really good way of doing it! The relationship between Gordon and Nia is absolutely sweet that I can’t put into words but if I had to it would be natural. And now thinking about it there are some similarities between them, going to Sodor for them was a lot and had to leave their family and friends behind but manage to be able to make something for themselves. Gordon’s philosophy is interesting as he doesn’t want to quit pulling the express and would keep going until he can’t pull it no more says volumes about Gordon, especially in his later years. I love the Voice you gave for Nia as well as how you written her, it’s sort of like an reimagined version of Forever and Ever. Phenomenal job on this video, keep it up! Edit: Gordon with green eyes (and to an extent engines with colored eyes) is something I was not expecting here but I like it

Nia and Gordon have a great dynamic so its lovely seeing you do a story like this for them

I really like this glimpse into your head-canon characterization for Nia. I'd love to see more of her/her backstory in your sodor. Would be a great pic for character gallery! I've been thinking about a good way to work her into my sodor too.

What a touching story. Gordon maturing is something so RWS-ish, and the fact you managed to incorporate a character with wasted potential was amazing! Also bravo, you made that episode when Henry moves out (Except he doesn't, another W) work just right! Your audio stories are a DELIGHT to listen to, can't wait for more! (But don't pull a Gordon pls)
