  • Great video - I think this unit is the new benchmark right now. They have literally packed everything possible into this unit, other than fuel injection and perhaps a bluetooth monitoring app like Honda now has. It's hard to imagine what Genmax has coming in the future!

Trifuel plus Inverter together is the only way to go. You have true SHTF capability plus you protect your sensitive electronics.
  • @BradiKal61
Genmax certainly is a leader in features but my concern would be parts and service. Still I am impressed by what Ive seen here and on Gavins Garage
  • Now that can pump out some power! Nice bit of kit but not cheap

Thank you for sharing a very well done, very informative video that covered a lot of bases for someone like myself looking to purchase a generator invertor.

Nice review!!! Seems like a solid unit with the likes of Honda or Predator options. They threw everything minus EFI at this model. Included battery charger is a new thing which shows they understand what consumers want. Kudos to Genmax for listening. With the included ATS this is a great solution for home use with a perma nent gas line. The problem with these units is fuel comsumption. If you have a lengthy power outage you need a large amount of fuel storage. For this reason I went with multiple smaller units knowing they sip fuel and can conserve if needed. With 40 gallons (8 cans) I can run for more than a week. This was tested after a hurricane. On the 4th day gas lines were significantly shorter and by 5th day you had access to multiple gas station options which were getting fuel delivered daily. I started refueling 10 gallons a day on day 6 just to be safe. By the 8th day I had power restored and used up my full 40 gallons. Ran 24/7 with 1 or 2 (night) and used 3 when needed during day. Only 120V so no hot showers :-(

Thanks for the video Johnny! I have the predator 9500 and am very happy with it. If this existed when I bought it I would certainly consider for the tri-fuel.
  • @YukonHawk1
You have a really nice camper. Thanks for the very informative video. Genmax has come a long way.

I have been considering converting my Honda EU6500i to run on natural gas. However, the additional cost is about $1000 for the kit and the natural gas guy to convert the barbeque outlet so I can hook up the generator. Instead, I would sell this Honda unit and buy the Genmax 10500 unit and have money in my pocket....but..but...it's not available in Canada and parts and service availability are minimal right now (and non existent in Canada), and the quality of the unit is still unknown (although I would take a chance on that). Maybe this will be doable some time in the future....(sooner rather than later I hope)
  • @joshua1577
that sine wave was actually pretty impressive in my opinion for how much load you were pulling. Im impressed! How is Genmax's warranty as well as parts availability. Those are my 2 biggest worries for something like that. Something beneficial about honda's is their parts are available for a long time (priced like gold chains thought)
  • @0lloydb
Great video! You should ask Genmax when the 7250 TRIfuel will come out.
  • So I was actually looking at getting another generator for after my Honda wears out and originally I had just leave ignored these genmax brand because I thought they were junk But now I'll have to go back and look at those
  • @johnhelms
I think it could be bonded or not or try ground rod. It might fix it, still would be a good experiment.
  • @bobn8865
Very nice gen set with all the bells and whistles. It is expensive, $2900.00.

Good generator. 6000watts on natural gas isn't to bad. Can run a pretty good single person house with that or small family that isn't power hungry for energy. If your system has a well or city pump that isn't unpowered in a black out. You'd just hook this badboy up and run off gas to energy. Stick this sucker in the garage or a shed and run a hose extender for the exhaust out to a exhaust vent and you should be golden. No thieves to slap on or take the machine and it'd be way quieter from the other houses. From the looks of it. Natural gas will run a house at 6600watts either from the 220-30amp twist or the 4 pin 240-50 (at half power.). Kinda shame they only give the 8500watts to gas. And 8000 for propane. But if you're energy light for basic for AC/Heater system, Washer/gas-drier, Fridge, Gas water heater, gas stove/oven. You should be able to work for the rest of the stuff without any problems unless you're packing quite a few desktop PC's running over 500watts on a family set per kid/hobby/wife deal. Thought if your house is mostly electric of the AC/-Heater system, Water heater, Stove/Oven, and Drier. I'd say not to run those roughly at much on generator mode. AC/heater can already cook over 3000-4000watts for a Central system. Electric Drier will probably cook over 1500watts running. Electric stoves run 1000watts almost per burner. Not continuing the oven coil. And water heater probably cooks around 1500 or more watts or so when it clicks on. So for people who are more on the gas drive will probably be able to easily fly in a black out if it's local and not shutting your water or gas vines offline to. (Though i bet the gas bill will sky rocket lol.)

Nice generator. My advice for purchasers is to get rid of the GFI outlets. I had them on my Honda until it decided to shut off while unattended.
