wait till this man discovers the Dacia Spring we have in Europe...
  • @dwchen1
The title should be 'Is a $25,000 electric car even possible in the US?' Because outside the US $9,700 electric car that can carry 5 people is already in the market.
  • European here. My mum has this car. The lease is costing her 100€ / month and the electricity costs her about 100€ / year. She uses it for daily commute and normal life stuff around town. She only needs to charge it overnight once a week. You can't beat that.

one day MKBHD will discovery a world outside of USA
  • @d9dga
I feel like this could be the first time that MKBHD has reviewed a "normal" European car that I see most days
  • I was part of the team that help launch this vehicle. This car does have One Pedal Drive, you can switch the drive mode between Normal, Range and Sherpa. The last two have OPD. Also, the vehicle is equipped with wireless android auto and apple car play or you can connect via USB. Feel free to reach out

Remember this is a European car, made for European cities. The cars here are in general smaller than in the US. Parking spaces are narrow and small. And trust me (I'm from the Netherlands). Driving a Tesla Model 3 through Amsterdam is already challenging, let alone in small cities in Italy. So, it's also made this small on purpose. I'm absolutely sure batteries will become cheaper and smaller. The amounts of rare metals in batteries is declining, so they become cheaper as this is the main cost driver.

In Europe you can buy the Citroën ë-C3 for 23.300€ and the battery can do 324km, so yeah, we already have a electric vehicle below the 25k!
  • @SebastianLN
“There’s no CarPlay, no Android Auto” pans to show CarPlay button 💀

It looks like MKBHD has never been in an economic combustion car either
  • @x3merx3mer
2:43 Fiat 500 predates Mini, so its actually Mini looking like Fiat.
  • @stoff3r
The problem is that you just accept that this is a $32k car while as many others have said, it is really a 20k car or even less in some countries.
  • @lang9872
You say there is no Apple car play / Android Auto: the Button is clearly visible on the screen...
  • @Basherqueen
Citroen eC3 is coming out right now in EU for about $25,000 and it's a decent small 5-door SUV/Cross Over with 200miles of range. Comfortable, save and fits 4 to 5 people. So question answered. The US Car market is so limited, that's the problem.
  • @_CarlosA
Well EVs under $25k are plentiful in other markets...
  • @august822
Fiat 500 isn't supposed to be a budget car. You're paying for the looks and the fiat 500-brand because it's an iconic car
  • Bro helppp we got this in 2022 here in Italy / Europe. Americans are like yt shorts users sometimes😭😭
  • @MF_Henri
In the UK, this is the most expensive EV in the segment. Actually maybe the Honda-E is more.
