    As a native American. My grandmother told us stories of giants of the past. There was good and bad giants. Some ate humans. Called witagoo

And Mark Twain once said "Truth is stranger than fiction but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; truth isn't. So, yeah I think it is possible there were giants in Pantagonia, mermaids in the seas and aliens in our skies.

    Few people know about this, but over centuries many explorers, fisherman wrote about giants in terra de fuego. Some say they came from Antarctica long time ago and went all the way to Canada.

    If no one has excavated that part of South America before due to its remoteness, then that area would be a good place to look for ancient tombs or graveyard that may contain giant remains. Just make sure to keep any discovery of significance a secret from The Smithsonian.
