The Real History of Rush Episode 2

Everything Neil does in this is pure gold.... from the "Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" to the crossing himself when Alex farts, to really digging Disco... makes me laugh every single time.

I never realized how easily Spirit of the Radio would be made into a country tune.

It's great to see a band not take themselves too seriously and have a good time poking fun at themselves. "Spirit of Radio" is one of their anthems, and for them to lampoon it with a polka, disco, and country versions is funny and says a lot about the character of Geddy, Alex, & Neil.

Makes me sad watching this. Gonna miss these guys.

Best band ever. There guys have been friends for 40+ years, nobody can deny the chemistry between them. It’s no surprise that this musical trio sound so HUGE. That’s the magic of FRIENDSHIP 🥺

Proof in the pudding that this trio were both talented and hilarious. I always chuckle when I see this. Definitely some SCTV influence here.

Parody is one of the best forms of humor, and how they did this with one of their greatest songs was masterfully done (Polka, Disco and Country versions of The Spirit Of Radio had me rolling). This is classic. These guys are gifted and serious musicians, and at the same time they are goofy and the best of friends - genuine and real - which is why Rush was around for more than four decades. Alex (the goofy one), Neil (the serious one), and Geddy ("lukewarm water" - to quote Derek Smalls from Spinal Tap). I have loves these guys since the late '70s. Their music will forever stand the test of time and influence countless generations to come. RIP Neil. You are greatly missed.

How can anyone with a brain and a sense of humor not love this band? Fourteen thumbs down morons I guess. Thank you Alex, Geddy and last - but certainly not in the least - Neil. May your music forever echo into eternity. Long Live RUSH!!!!!!!!

Best band in history! Period! I'm just so happy and thankful it took place in my lifetime! Thank you Gedy, Alex & The Professor Neil (RIP).

Had the pleasure of seeing this tour live in Manchester (United states of Kingdom) and these moments take their long-ass gigs to another level. Great musicians, humble and humorous...RIP Neil
