you know it's serious when youtube gives off a warning before watching the video

Considering how large youtube is, there is probably so many unnerving youtube channels that are just left in the shadows, not seen by any human being.

I think another reason Dog Nightmares is so frightening is because of the breed used as the head. Weimaraners have an almost ghoulish appearance - green to grey piercing eyes, necks with dulaps that make them look gaunt, long ears and mild jowls make them look sad. Weimaraners are just uncanny dogs - they're often called "The Grey Ghost" because of their quietness and velcro personality. Even though I love them, my coworkers often found the eyes of the Weim that would come in to daycare frightening.

i wish there were more genuinely scary channels instead of “spooky analog horror” and “vhs” stuff. it was cool at first, but now i feel like it’s everywhere
  • Dog nightmares is the first ARG in a long time to make me genuinely uncomfortable. There’s something about the way it’s presented that’s just especially upsetting.

Isn’t the ugly duckling story usually that a swan egg accidentally hatched in a duck nest and all the ducklings told the swan chick they were ugly, only for it to grow up to be a swan? That’s what I always heard

im sure someone has already said it, but the first video is so obviously inspired by omori that personally it loses some creepiness to me. the "dreamscape" and the artstyle are clearly inspired, like the sketchbook nature & the headspace, which take place in dreams. not to mention their pseudo-rpgmaker textboxes. that doesn't make it worse at all though, I just think the style is very emphatic and noticeable that it comes off as, well, more of a well crafted art than a creepy youtube video.

during the 24:26 part, you can faintly see a man with a dog head standing in the darkness through the window, which is actually really creepy

“Nobody came looking for me when I disappeared. And now, nobody will come looking for you” that is a GOOD fucking line right there
  • @DogNightmares
Thank you so much for covering my videos!! I have been working on this series for a while and hope to make more later this year or early next year! This video made my night man, I can't thank you enough!

I believe that Bailey the dog was never lost and it was actually the main characters brother that was kidnapped, the main character depicted herself as a dog so I believe that reality everyone was human including Bailey the missing dog and her “best friend” who was probably someone her and her brother knew in childhood that ended up kidnapping the brother who was the person in the picture at the end and the end is her realizing she knew who did it
  • Just saying the video thumbnail gave me anxiety. It's so much more unnerving then outright "scary" thumbnails. The mutt truly stares into your soul
  • @LovelySoftSnow
oh man.. i thought she just really missed her dog. Definitely seems like her traumatised brain has blocked out and replaced the one who harmed her with a humanoid dog best friend named bailey
  • @iainfoster7167
that thumbnail is distressing bro, actually spooks me💀
  • @fluffcake
Dog Nightmares is unabashedly the scariest one here. Something about it is just so icky. Also I remember FlorecitaDreams and the Selene Delgado image. The last one looks super professional and well made. Will definitely see where it goes soon :D
  • @CryloWolf
I found the Wegman dog one to be very interesting. It’s honestly scary in a sense where it’s in the shoes of a child dealing with this, not knowing the true situation she is in. That channel needs more attention my god, that was pretty cool
  • @B.OO.K
As someone who does fear this type of stuff but enjoys it at the same time having the commentary really helps
  • @Blaze3062
The audio of Hell is copyrighted. I find that fittingly hilarious.
  • My theory on the dog nightmares is that girl lost her dog when she small and was never able to get about it. At some point she got over it but she felt guilt about it later on hence the Bailey is still out there
