I didn't initially intend to learn to play this song, but in the end I liked it enough that I decided it was worth it.

I haven't finished a cover in almost a year, partially due to symptoms of depression and burn out, but after I attended the Chicago Lizzy McAlpine concert in April, I just had a reinvigorated desire to play guitar and I thought it would be very fitting if this was the cover I did before a year was up. I almost wasn't able to do it, and there are certainly aspects of this cover that I'm not happy about, but more than all that, I'm just glad I was able to do it in the end.

I'm going to cool it with the McAlpine covers for a while though. I haven't learned to change the key of a song, so every Lizzy song I've done just doesn't fit my voice because I'm not a woman and don't have the voice of a woman. I still love Lizzy and I will likely learn to play more of her songs in the future, but it's time for me to learn some different music.
