Peru is, as everyone of course knows, famous for their sultans for sure. 🤣🤣

Anyone else get super competitive watching this and get too excited for getting the country right and beating the guys?

:face-blue-smiling:I'd say why not try 1 run with all of the dishes in same nation to mess with their mind on purpose.

Omg Šakotis is probably my favourite cake (I am Lithuanian tho, so there's a huge bias here). It kinda gets better the longer it sits. And you can get different sort of texture. Some prefer it to be like a soft cookie, but I loove it when it's sat for a bit and has a bit of a bite. Nice to see Lithuanian food to be represented. Get your Šakotis at your nearest Lithuanian shop in UK. Yum!

For global deserts you should hit up Sweden: we do this baked "cheesecake" a cake made, with sugar, cottage cheese, cream, vanilla, almond, almondextrakt, cardamon, flour and eggs, serverd with whipped cream and jam For added moisture you can add shredded zuccini, to the cake

Barry completely fumbling the bag on Turkey and not remembering where the one from Lithuania is from is the only way to make up for getting China right in the first round
  • Firstly, I absolutely love the fact the boys have a safe word (though they may have to change it now). All friend groups and families should have one! Secondly, Barry used this as one of his entries in the old podcast, back when the boys used to play the "which is a lie, which is true?" game. So he has indeed done research on it, but also, he's told the others all about it, and apparently no one remembered. ;)
  • We came across a shop from Hong Kong called Kwan Kee decorated with Michelin stickers last weekend… saw a crowd so naturally we went to see what’s the hype about…they specialise in all kinds of red Bean and rice flour desserts… generally they were mildly sweet and light tasting
  • Just to let you know, the origin of šakotis, or sękacz is actually contested between Lithuania and Poland due to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth being the historical origin of the dessert :)
  • @PokhrajRoy.
4:44 I’ve written a whole dissertation but I felt so happy and emotional when Barry got a country right.
  • The last one, the tree cake, in Poland, is called Sękacz, and it is delicious. Best ones I had were locally made for weddings. The hole was roughly 4 inches in diameter, the primary layers about 2 inches thick, with the spikes adding up to another 3 inches. I miss eating it.

We finally made it. Also Šakotis is often used instead of a cake for birthdays

And here's Hong Kong fighting their hardest to not be China

Šakotis BABYYYY❤❤❤❤🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹 As soon as I saw the thumbnail I was soooo exited to watch the video!! And to be honest, lithuanian cuisine is quite weird but often delectable so I hope to see you try more of our foods someday!!!!

It's crazy how the chefs sous chef (barry) and the normals can eat that was made and still be in shape.
