This is demonstrating a new feature of my ipxbox dedicated dosbox server - it now supports the ipxpkt.com packet driver that tunnels Ethernet frames inside IPX packets. So it's now possible to connect to the Internet from inside DOSbox and use software that requires a packet driver.

This is using Michael Brutman's mTCP stack for DOS: www.brutman.com/mTCP/

There are some instructions here on how to test this for yourself. The server shown in the video is publicly accessible.

This is so cool! Imagine an IRC channel that people are connecting to through IPX, that also has a Discord bot. You could have someone on an old DOS setup connect and chat with someone on Discord - for some reason that thought is just so entertaining to me.. really interesting stuff here!

Could this make it possible for IPX based multiplayer games to work down the line?

Can you surf the web with this protocol?

I have i dream that we can use a vpn like hamachi to send/get files with IPX from DOSBOX to DOSBOX. Personaly i am on an Android tablet with a DOSBOX app installed and i like to use DEBUG and assembly programming, but i am not familar with the IPX protocol.
