All jokes aside the drama that we didn’t even create has gotten both channels quite a bit of extra views 😂
  • Good Lord - 2 different engines for 2 different things - Cleetus has addressed this as well - People need to chill out
  • @llamacebu216
KSR Kevin said day 1 that mullet was too heavy, gonna cost 100 of thousands of dollars and its still gonna cause problems BUT thats what cleetus wanted

The fact that you even have to bring up the relationship between you and Cletus pretty much cements the fact that social media is the devil. Obviously you are a fantastic engine builder.
  • @Larfinkle
Any engine that can mostly survive the Cleetus Maintenance and Race program is a winner. It's that simple.
  • I can vouch 100% that Mullet wasn't designed to be pushed to the level it has achieved. But neither were any of his other builds up to that point, Leroy's a good example too. I've really enjoyed following Cleeter and I'm super excited for the opportunity to have had a hand in helping him get there over the last seven years. The fact that Steve is getting that engine back and all the rods are still in it says a lot about the engineering that went into the SMX design from the start because Cleetus has a knack for freeing rods from captivity... a lot.

27:46 that little sequence of f-ups had me cracking up 🤣. Glad to see you're human like the rest of u

Cleetus uses his reach to raise the online profile of other shops. Be those chassis or engine builders, tuners or body workers, lawncare guys or concreters, helicopter maintence facilities or RC plane builders. There is no hate - just a guy having fun, spreading the love and building subscriber numbers for others. Not every tuner or engine builder offers a package for every car - doesn't mean bridges have been burned with everyone he has previously worked with.
  • I'm grateful that Cletus introduced Steve Morris to me in his videos. I love the work that you do, how honest and transparent you are and I'm a HUGE fan!
  • @GrattonRacing
There’s no issue. You build the best drag and drive engines. Proline builds arguably the best all out drag race engines. Different applications!
  • @ralre9825
Love how wholesome steve is. I have no issues allowing my kid to watch the channel
  • @YunielRuane
Funny how everyone was saying that Steve was being replaced by Cleet for "his old big block" but in fact Steve constructed it and is still rebuilding it here. These folks must also believe that an SMX directly competes with Proline.
  • @HerrStarcraft
Props to Cleetus and Steve for keeping each other in the loop to avoid awkward surprises. Tells a lot about their character by the way they treat their partners.
  • People forget Cleetus makes content. Getting engines from different people adds to that. Everything used to be LS. He’s branched out and has engines from different builders and manufacturers. It adds to the channel. That is his job. Let’s also consider how long it would take to get engines rebuilt if he only used 1 builder. At the rate he blows up engines he would be waiting forever. Gotta spread it around.
  • Thanks for setting everything straight and showing us the full build, the rods make all the difference!
  • @SuoisXius
Cleetus expresses gratitude to every engine manufacturer. I get so much knowledge from this channel.
  • @shammi8133
I didn't know there was an issue, I mean engines break. It's kind of what racers, race cars, and engine builders do.
  • Ol' Cleet just runs the best engine for the class he's running. That's why Pete Harrel engine in Leroy, Steve Morris engine in Mullet and Proline in Eagle! Best class engine for each respective class!
  • @titanary68
Oh and just for the record anyone that sends negative comments about any engine you build has zero clue nor the money to purchase your cheapest used engine. You are a legend, ultimate reliability and build quality. I’m a die hard Nelson guy and I honestly think you might just be more detail oriented than Tom is. Listening to you talk reminds me of the engineering class I probably should have paid more attention to.
  • @WdisaCoenj
We appreciate you clearing things up and demonstrating the entire build; the rods really make a difference!
