Kayak fishing for Bass and Crappie early spring in Maine

Today I set off in the new kayak to search for bass and crappie, I have never caught a crappie open water fishing. I also met some friends along the way.

I did not slay them today, but I caught my first open water crappie!

Open faced. I bring 2 open and 2 bait casters on the yak but use the spinning reels waaaay more. Yak fishing Maine is awesome . I am on the coast so we get a breeze often and that can be a pain. Good luck .
