Footage from the 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, Executive Producers.

For more than 40 years, the Kennedy Center Honors has redefined America's perception of its artistic legacy and reinvented the way this nation rewards its artists. The Honors have been compared to a knighthood in Britain, or the French Legion of Honor--the quintessential reward for a lifetime's endeavor.

When someone can cover somebody else’s song and move the original artist to tears, that has to be the highest accolade you can possibly get. Well done Adam!
  • When Adam Lambert takes an earpiece out, you know shit is about to get real. He is incredible
  • It's now June 02, 2024 and I'm STILL listening to this Masterpiece that moved Cher to tears! Incredible, you are, Adam Lambert! Thanks to your Parents and to our Heavenly Father for giving Birth to such a talent that positively moves the World❣️
  • It’s not only the voice. His facial expressions, his technique, story telling capacity, timing, etc. Adam is a great singer.
  • Cher's version is very theatrical with dancers and echo chambers and much more upbeat. Adams version is a ballad and done with only a orchestra and a voice from God. This cover will go down as one of the best of all time by any artist. This is perfection at its finest. I could listen to this a thousand times.

When you make the original singer cry, make her say “whoa” on your high note, and she gives you a standing ovation when it’s over, you’ve reached BOSS Status

This is absolutely phenomenal. I'm literally speechless. As a pianist.....the majority of my work over the decades has been writing arrangements of cover tunes.....basically turning popular songs into piano solos. I have NEVER seen anyone interpret a song this well in my life! While I have never particularly been a fan of Adam Lambert.....I had a lot of respect for him for the work he'd done with Queen. But I never expected something like this from him. This is musical and vocal perfection. I've never seen anything quite like it. Hats off and mad respect for Adam and thank you for this gem of a performance.

Who comes back once a month to watch this and be amazed every time. . . Damn what a voice and talent

For those who don't follow Adam or have ever seen him perform, when he takes his ear monitor out, it's about to get real. He's one of the best voices in music today and the fact that he's so underrated makes no sense to me.

2:52 the moment you make a singer cry with their own song... you are something special Adam!

Adam Lambert moves Cher to tears with her own song that she’s sang hundreds of times, that’s something do you don’t see very often

This cover does the lyrics justice. The slower tempo allows the words to sink in and forces the listener to really listen and hear the lyrics. Beautiful and so emotional. 🥰

One of the greatest live performances that I have ever seen. Every single person in that room was hypnotized.
  • @Nightflyer720
One of the most gifted male vocalists of this generation, yet he is still so incredibly underrated. This performance of Believe is everything. Cher was not the only one brought to tears.

Anyone else feel like Adam touched our souls and hearts just now?

It Is March 2024 And I Am Still Listening To This Masterpiece, I Am With You.*

Adam has a way of feeling the song, and that is what makes him and the song resonate.
