With the prices of games and services increasing all the time, companies pushing at us digital only games, I'm glad to see this happening. F...Sony, I want my games running at 60fps for FREE, no remasters, no remakes costing $70!

As a kid I would have never thought Star trek mobile games would end up sponsoring PS5 hacking videos. What a time we live in

Gotta admire the determination of the modding scene. In trying very hard to hide the browser (because webkit has more holes in it than cheese), Sony has basically made people find workarounds. All people need is a way to trigger the browser to move forward.

The modding and game preservation communities are so important and invaluable these days... Bless 'em

I’m not much into console jailbreak, but I do LOVE early jailbreak and it’s jankiness and how many steps it takes to reach google 😂
  • dude was recording since mid Friday until almost 2AM Saturday... some serious dedication to his research 😂

Can't wait to see the emulators and ports that will run on it. Also can't wait to see what features the PS5 has that Sony is hiding from the consumer. Like the native PS1 and PS2 emulators on the PS4.

A step in the right direction, considering the horrible trajectory that the industry as a whole is on right now. Digital only consoles, no ownership for the consumer and a total disregard for game preservation. We need more developments like this. I live in South Africa and may be able to find an older console at retail that is still on this firmware. I will definitely be hunting one down to see if I can run this exploit.

In a digital-only industry with half baked games, live services and micro-transactions, I’m considering going this route. At least I could always use the console as long as the hardware is functioning.

Between this and the Mig switch kart, the homebrew scene has been on fire'

  • @chamamemestre
For future preservation this is great. Specially when servers die out.
  • @bombjack1984
Thanks for explaining that a Homebrew Enabler enables homebrew.
  • The future sounds promising. Glad to see 60 fps patches for free without additional cost.

Good luck finding a PS5 on those old Firmwares. We are at v24.01-08.60.00

What’s cool about that jb is that they went with a Singstar PS3 inspired UI. That (those) games, before they made a free app for them which changed the look somewhat, had a terrific and clean UI.
