Great to see Demidov land in Montreal. Hope he lights it up for you guys for the next decade. I'm a Hawks fan who has been to games in Montreal and am glad he didn't wind up in say.. Columbus.

While the Hage story is inspiring and fascinating, I hope fans and media release him from the topic soon. It might be an “amazing” story to outsiders, but this is anything but for Hage and his family. It’s literally the worst moment of the kid’s life, and a worse moment than most people ever experience. He doesn’t need to be reminded of it forever.
  • Thank you San Jose, thank you Chicago, thank you Anaheim, thank you Columbus. We just got a generational player at #5! What a steal!

Stoked for the Habs. Demidov is going to be incredibly entertaining for years to come. Glad he's in the East though haha

Honestly shocked that the Habs were able to manipulate so many teams into balking at drafting Demidov. If he pans out like people are projecting, it might be one of their best moves.

This is my favourite Habs podcast.
  • My only reaction to getting Demidov live was, "Ole, Ole Ole Ole" is that fair?
  • Another takeaway from the draft was the fantastic interviews with Bobrov! This guy is a natural with the press, a very calm, eloquent and lucid speaker. The fanbase doesn't get to see much of him like you guys do, more Bob please! 😉 No thoughts on free agency? Or does the Demi and Hage picks change their plans? Great show as always guys!

You guys are the best. I could listen to you both talk hockey, all day, every day. Cheers!

I cannot freaking wait for Demidov to play under Marty St-Louis system. And also excited for Marty to have the chance to coach a player of the quality of Demidov.
  • The Canadiens draft was nearly perfect, at least for the first 3 picks, Demidov, Hage and Koivu. Nearly had the possibility of getting Eiserman, but i doubt the organization planned on him being available that low. Sawyer looks interesting as well, a center that isn’t small, which makes our 4 first picks forwards, the org understood the assignment completely. For the later rounds, i gotta admit the limits of my hockey “knowledge” lots of who and who ? I always thought once you are past 4th or 5th round you gotta give shots to local kids, no matter which province/state, especially since they’ll probably end up career AHLers.

I am super excited that the Habs drafted Aatos. Saku is my 2nd favourite Hab. However, I felt really bad for Aatos, that so many of the questions were about his Dad. I totally get asking a few questions about Saku, but it's kind of disrespectful to Aatos if the majority of the questions aren't about him and his develpment.

Imagine Sam Pollock drafting to please the fan base. Crazy, the modern management team should care as much as Pollock would. Draft your own vision and let the fans decide when you're ready. Great picks on day one and it's a bonus every armchair GM is happy.

Demidov fun! Great episode, it's getting more and more exciting!
  • Did you all notice that Michael Hage was awarded Thursday the EJ McGuire award, as presented by NHL central scouting. Awarded to “the candidate who exemplifies commitment to excellence through strength of character, competitiveness, and athleticism. Last two awardees? Connor Bedard and Lane Hutson! Dr. Kent Hughes Plan revealed? 🧠🎉🤪
