It's amazing to me to think that this is an image of what the black hole looked like 55 million years ago! It took 55 million years for the light around it to reach us and we snapped a tiny moment of its life to marvel at. We are forever stuck in the past when we look out into space.

I love how sleeping at last makes songs for current events like the lunar eclipse, opportunity, and now the black hole! This is awesome.

it's so amazing because there are so many advancements we have made and we have gained so much knowledge over history (this photo being proof), but there is still so, so much that we don't know, and that idea, the concept of 'we will never know everything'--i don't know what it is, but it is so important and powerful, at least to me. the world we live in and everything in and around it is fascinating and vast and beyond our comprehension, and the fact that we get to live within all of it is so cool and so humbling. this song is so gorgeous and i feel like it captures the beauty of it all. thank you for sharing this with us :)
