This will eventually play itself out. People will eventually get bored with this particular look in the same way blonde hair, blue eyes, super tan skin and fake boobs got old. It’s going to shift again, just a matter of time.

Thank you for mentioning overlining the cupids bow. I have hated that trend. I have always loved my pointed bow and when I try to “round” it out, it only looks silly. Come on ladies, you aren’t fooling anyone. In person, you can see you have over lined and it looks silly in real life. Your makeup look fabulous today Kelly! I’m 54 and I’ll do my makeup however I like! LOL. (I’m being a tad spunky today)

I love my naturally pointy arched brows. Years ago, I was at a Comic-con and stopped by the booth of comic book artist Adam Hughes. He said "Excuse me but you have exactly the type of comic book eyebrows I love to draw!" and that is truly one of the best compliments I've ever gotten! He's known for drawing Wonder Woman and Catwoman, so I'm in good company!

I feel like boyfriend blush looks super youthful, it’s like the natural flush you get as a kid running around outside in the summer
  • @aytoxo
I feel like people look a lot younger when they follow their natural features than when they try to "correct" them
  • @AlisonLeMay
Thank you. “Instagram face” is the “sad beige baby” of makeup. I miss 2016 makeup: color, glam, etc. All the creators were unique, and the makeup shops (Sephora and Morphe, especially) were so cutting edge in what they did. Now it’s all the same neutral shades, winged eyeliner, overdrawn lips and false eyelashes. It’s so pedestrian.
  • Wow my 24yr old daughter just made this comment while we were watching a period film. She said her face was too “modern” to fit in the time period
  • @lynnctodd
I saw a pic of Shania Twain the other day and I literally thought it was Kim Kardashian. Megan Fox also has that same look. These women were all beautiful in their own right before, but it seems they all have similar plastic surgeons and use the same fillers and they all end up looking the same now. It makes me sad.

Feeling that something is always wrong with us is the trick of the beauty industry. As long as we try to fix our face or body shapes, our hair and skin, we sure buy products or procedures, and that makes money for somebody.
  • I actually think you look younger with this makeup that enhances your natural features! It fits you so well!
  • @JasmineT-vg6hx
“Not everything has to be flattering to have value” wow. ❤❤❤
  • @tpwk13
Omg yeah, sometimes I will literally think people are the same person, when they are literally different unique people😭😭 it's lowkey so dystopian, same goes for fashion as well.
  • @midlifemom5829
The OG supermodels of the 80s were all unique in their beauty: Cindy, Naomi, Linda, Christy, Elle, Brooke, Kate, Paulina, Tatjana, etc. i miss that
  • Jen Phelps talked about this in a recent video. She put bronzer across her nose and cheeks to mimic what the sun would do and said it doesn't make sense to put it in the hollows of the cheeks like everyone does on social media. She also kept her blush above her nose and it changed her entire look. It looked so good on her and balanced out her more oblong face. And on the other hand, boyfriend blush placement looks so good on you and your face shape/features. It's sad that everyone just follows the trends and doesn't do what looks good on their individual face.
  • @emilyanne1426
This final look is soo cute! I actually think lower blush placements, brows with arches and makeup that emphasizes rounded facial features as actually make most people look younger
  • @xnpeax
i have been doing "boyfriend blush" not knowing it for years 😅 i love it on my box face shape😁
  • OMG...I hate hearing about clothing that is "flattering." Even worse is clothing described as "forgiving." Ugh...I HATE the idea that I need my clothes to forgive me. It's insulting, infantilizing, and sexist.
  • @cynthb
Your makeup today looks gorgeous! It's so refreshing to see something different from "Instagram Face". I have a long, rectangular face, vampire skin with red cheeks, and a pointy Cupid's bow, and there is no way I would ever look like current trends.
