My wife bought me and the kids some rods for Christmas knowing I've always wanted to learn. Thanks for helping me get through day 1 and excited for the next one!
  • Thank you for that. Videos like this with all the detailed explanations is very helpful for those of us who grew up without someone to show us how this is done.

Love the humor. I use to fish all the time. It's been years since I've gone fishing and plan on taking my grandson fishing tomorrow and needed a refresher course on how to set up my rods and reels.

My dad and I have been talking about going fishing for the first time together some time this summer and this video is the most helpful one I could find on YouTube, thank you so much!
  • Thank you so much. Been fishing since I was a kid but didn’t know how to do this till now. Always had my dad do it. He showed me once but it was years ago and I had since forgotten.

I’ll be honest, this is by far the clearest and most easy to understand fishing set up video I have seen! Thank you so much! My dad always did the dirty work and I just fished, so now I’m having to learn myself to teach my son! Thank you so much!

I use to fish with my dad when I was young. My husband never learned. I don’t remember the set up, but I want to teach my 5 year old this summer. Thank you for this!

Hi DC aged 66 I decided to take up fishing here four year ago here in the UK and I am still struggling tying knots. My eyes aren't what they once were , so your great video is great because the knot you use to tie your line onto the reel is out of all the videos I have watched the simplest I have seen. I'll definitely be using that now. Never seen or read of the Reel box you used so I will have to try and buy one now. Looks nice and sunny where you live unlike here in the UK. One more Sub for you . Stay safe. Ted

Almost 44 years old and I went fishing for the first time yesterday. Loved it! Now I’m hooked.

I am new to fishing and just recently purchased a simple rod. I have a better understanding of how it's suppose to work now. Your video was extremely helpful, thanks man!!

I purchased the whole set up for my hubs for Father's Day. It's August and our gear was still boxed. After watching the video I was able to set up my rod and am all set and ready to go...Thanks for the video

Thank you for this video. I am JUST starting my new hobby and my cousin gave me his fishing rod to get started on. Today is our anniversary and I am thinking about getting my husband a FISHING ROD AND REEL for his gift (and now your awesome video has encouraged me!)!! 😂 I will refer to your video (that I have saved), I’m sure, many times! Thank you and Happy Fishing! (My uncle used to catch crappie and cook them for us and they were delicious! I never could get enough of them!)❤️ 🎣
