Im completely new to Diablo, never played a single game before. Diablo 4 is downloading and I’ve searched the entirety of YouTube for a new-player-friendly guide and finally found it here. Thanks!

Bro. Nearly 50 minutes of your time and I can't say thank you enough. I played Diablo 3 for YEARS, paid for the Beta for D4 and thought I'd have it down. I was wrong. You have really helped me out with pretty much everything I wasn't sure of. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work :)

By the way i don't know if you know, but for everyone landing on this video a small tip. You don't need to reskill the entire tree to swap skills. Just get a skill point and invest it into the new skill you want and then you can sell part of the old skill and put it into the new one over and over until you got your skills you want (might save some money).

I think you can scrap gear w/ gems in it to get them back free.

The BEST Diablo IV beginner guide I have watched. I didn't feel overwhelmed. I haven't played a Diablo game in almost 20 years and I found this straight forward, easy to follow, and direct to the key points. You did a fantastic job on this guide! Definitely subscribing for more :)

A small tip to reduce the traveling back and forth is to put gems you find into socketed items to save inventory space. Then you can just aalvage the item and the gem is released. Or if you decide you want to use the item, removing gems is cheap.
  • i’m jumping into the game this weekend and have been watching a bunch of videos to get me prepped so I don’t feel completely overwhelmed, and this was the most informative one I’ve found so far. A lot of the other videos are good, but gloss over a lot of the terminology so I still felt lost. I’m a casual gamer and this video was super easy to digest, and really helped break down the more complex elements so now I’m feeling fairly confident about getting a decent start. Cheers!

I just started playing (xbox Gamepass) and this is still the best beginners guide I found. All the others jump straight into high levels when a newbie like me don't even know what to keep, what to salvage, what to sell, when to upgrade... the very basics. This video was a great help! You made this very overwhelming game an enjoyable "new player experience". Thank you very much for your time! 🙂

Gear that has gems in it could be salvaged and your gems will be returned to your inventory for free. Only reason you want to pay to remove your gem is if you plan on replacing the current gem with an alternative. Otherwise if you are not using that gear anymore and don't need it but want that gem, jus salvage it and reclaim your gem for free.
  • Biggest one is being able to teleport to entrance of dungeon by clicking the door in the instance map. Took me way to long to figure that out... don't think the game ever says it.

Thanks so much for putting this together! I've played all the previous Diablo games, but it's always best to gain a bit of insight before jumping in head first. I especially appreciate the World Tier 1 tip. I initially selected WT2, but you make a great point about TTK vs XP gained. Good looking out 😎👍
  • @EvaandJavier
Very helpful. I’ve been doing every single side quest and it’s getting boring
  • Ebontis, seeing you do any guides for this is great. A nice bonus for us Destiny players that love your D2 guides 😊
  • @donyunchulkim
Tip: when using a ranged attack like puncture hold shift to stay stationary and prevent moving toward the target.
  • @barinebold
@ebontis Your Section at 28:05, the one on gems has a major error: you get gems back for free when you salvage items so you should shove gems in every available socket while leveling. You're not going to keep them long so there's not much reason to worry about getting the best quality gem first or wasting gems on low level gear.

The most detailed and easy to understand guide that ive watched. Did not even noticed this vid was almost an hour away.
  • @gdo79
Thank you E, still trying to puzzle this in. But always nice to get some pointers❤
  • @Huanpr
Your tip on building the skills is going to save me a lot of time. Thank you. I was not understanding the layout.
  • just started playing diablo 4 , never played any other diablo games this has been very helpful thank you
  • @FintanMoloney
Thanks so much for this guide. As a new Diablo player I'm loving it but there is so much to take in it can be overwhelming. I've watched a few other guides but was still a bit confused. This guide hands down gives me everything I need to know to get started properly. I'm only level 7 but I'm going back in now armed with a ton of knowledge. Subscribed to the channel :))
