The CGI of KingKong 2005 and Transformers 2007 is much more realistic than most movies today

Without a doubt the #1 best fight scene in King Kong 2005 considering that it shows Kong fighting not one but three V-Rexes. Add to the fact that he does his best to protect Ann from getting eaten by them makes this scene even more iconic and unforgettable.

That moment when Ann fully realizes that Kong is all in and ready to fight to the death to protect her, and so she backs up into his protective cover when him and the last remaining T-Rex have their staredown - plus the way Kong’s gaze softens when he quickly looks down at her like “I got’choo, boo - I got’choo”, but it hardens right back up when he looks up at the T-Rex again — just such awesome nuances like those make this one of my all-time fave movie scenes — and all-time favorite movies.

Honestly, this scene holds up so well after all these years. Not just the visuals, but the way the fight went. The T-rexes play around each other, Kong is circling around often to avoid bites, protect her, and all the while using every limb at his disposal. Makes Kong in the monsterverse look slow by comparison. Also, jesus him picking up the T-rex with one arm is nuts lol.
