Undertale - What Happened to Alphys in the Neutral Endings?

I think a lot of us are like Alphys. From our social backgrounds to the things we are passionate about... and that is what makes the Undertale community so great. We're here to support each other, and we've all bonded over an amazing game. Thanks for being so supportive everyone. Over the course of all my videos and my time spent on Tumblr, I've seen a lot of caring people. When I recently was able to attend a large Undertale gathering, I was blown away at how supportive everyone was. Most of the people who were not normally comfortable in social situations were able to be themselves, and there was smiling across the room. It was one of the most welcoming experiences I've had in a while. Depression and social anxiety are things a lot of us deal with, but just know there will be happiness in your future. Depression is all encompassing, and once it takes a hold of you, it is hard to see past it let alone cry out for help. I know in the video I mentioned to seek out and talk to someone, but this is usually the hardest part. My best advice is to make a promise to yourself to force yourself to do it though. It is going to feel pointless, and you will lack the motivation to do so, but it will make all the difference. For those of you on the other side of the spectrum, reach out to people who you may see struggling. Go sit with the person who sits alone at lunch. Give them the time of day that someone else may have never done. Collectively depression is easier to tackle, although its roots can come from multiple things. Most of the time it comes from loneliness though. By giving a few minutes of your day, you could make a difference in someone’s life. Whether you are depressed now, or are familiar with the pains of it, the power is in our hands to make a difference. So please… Push against the pain, or reach through it to pull someone out. Because it all starts with us. Thanks for hearing me out.

I definitely feel like Alphys was possibly going to take her own life, it is hinted at quite a lot, even by herself. Perhaps Undyne actually saved her from doing it the first time due to just being at the right place at the right time, and was the friend she needed. And the player definitely contributes a lot. Of all the characters I feel like alphys is the one you can change the most, for better or for worse depending on your actions, which is interesting with her being the only character you can never physically harm or spare yourself.

I have a few clues for Alphys's Suicide: 1: Alphys wanted to do something cowardly 2: if you only kill mtt and Noone else, Undyne said you killed her, but she is an unfightable character 3: she also says that she (Undyne) couldn't save her (Alphys) 4: in the same ending, Papyrus said that Alphys dissapeared 5: in some other endings Mtt said that Alphys is nowhere around, he clearly knows the true lab and the Underground isn't that big 6. Alphys already stood at the abyss once (most likely through Suicidal reasons) and she has a big burden to carry. So, that's why I think she really killed herself.

Alphys evacuated everyone, according to When Undyne the Undying was dying. (Wow that sounds weird).

Me: (kills one monster) Alphys: aight imma head out

"Did she run away? Is she hiding?" ..... Where can she run away when they're all trapped in the Underground? And if she was hiding why would Undyne be pissed at what happened to "Asgore and Alphys"? Since Alphys is mentioned right next to Asgore, it implied that the same thing happened to them, and Asgore is dead so...

I thought of this because on the genocide route, when u are killing undyne she says "alphys is watching. If anything went wrong, she would evacuate and tell asgore to collect the humans soul's. (...)" But even with the evacuation, she never told asgore. When u meet him he seems unprepared and u kill him off guard. Maybe in that ending she really killed herself after evacuating some people.

I have noticed that Napstablook and Alphys are pretty much of display of depressed teenagers who are enjoying listening to music, hiding and watching videos, not liking life... It's so... Obvious Toby tried to show how much younger people care about their friends and family...

There is a neutral ending where Alphys calls you instead of sans.

I've always found Alphys the most human character in Undertale, she cares for everyone more than herself and puts the monster society as her first priority. Alphys' life was really limited because of her burdens and mistakes she could not let go, So if you ever feel like shit, always remember that there is a light waiting by the tunnel, only if you break those chains, with someone you love.

Am I the only one who pronounces Alphys as "Alf-is" instead of "Alf-ees?"

Actually... it says on the wiki that if either Mettaton or Undyne dies she commits suicide...

Alphys is a truly satisfying and fascinating character. She deserves so much more credit.

I think that in some endings Alphys decided to jump to the abyss and in others she didn't and ran away instead. I feel like she did end her life in Mettaton ending, Undyne ending and Papyrus ending. She stayed in the ending in which you spared only one random encounter and in one in which you did the Undyne x Alphys sidequest but skipped the true lab. In rest she ran away to some other parts of underground.
