My wife has been fighting a losing battle with a rare chronic disease for years, and we are unfortunately nearing the end of her journey. I've been by her bedside 24/7 in the hospice unit since we have been here, and have watched this trilogy of videos as they have been released. As absolutely gut wrenching as they have been, they have also been amazingly helpful as an emotional outlet (I don’t think I’ve cried this many tears within the last year combined). From another man in his 30s, thank you for sharing your reaction and showing that it is OK to wear your heart on your sleeve, and show emotions and cry when you need to. I've spent so much of my life trying to keep everything to myself, embarrassed of what others might think, only to realize that everyone I've ever encountered is completely supportive and it's been such a weight lifted off of my shoulders. Love ya man, keep up the excellent work🤘

They deserve a Grammy for this. Best trilogy since Lord Of The Rings.
  • "Dancing like flames after all that I've done I'll salt the earth and disappear in a sea of fire" I love how they bring all 3 titles together as the final verse.
  • @CapnRiggs2k5
That pause and then her mouthing "I love you" right before he ends it all is just a straight jab to the feels. A perfect ending to an epic and emotional trilogy
  • It's a brilliant album, and best taken in it's entirety. Cohesive from start to finish. If you had told me a year ago I would love a deathcore album this much, I wouldn't have believed you.

The first part of the trilogy hit me and my girlfriend very hard when it came out, especially that bridge with 'Take what is left of my Life before you go'. Now my girlfriend (24) passed away nine days ago due to a Lung Embolism, and this Song hits harder than ever... I can hardly listen to the intro without crying like a baby. We actually listened to the entire Album when she drove our car for the last time in her entire Life, on friday when it finally dropped. Still didn't listen to it since then, means I never listened to it entirely cause I know that it will fuck me up completely... Rest in Peace my Love...

her mouthing "i love you" then the scream is just....
  • For me personally it's the "bury me". He screams it twice with so much emotion, it hits so hard.
  • When Will audibly inhales and screams towards the end... Man. Chills. Something so simple just fits so well. So fucking raw. I'm so glad I got the album so I can listen to these 3 songs without the cuts, and truly immerse myself in this experience for 20 minutes.
  • I was doing okay until she mouthed "I love you". That is an absolute gut punch. Incredible musicianship and after listening to Adam talk on Finn McKenty's channel about his writing process and his mental state making this album, it's hard not to feel his pain in the music.

That final comeback after she mouthed "I love you" is an absolute heartbreaking punch into your guts! Absolute masterful composition! ❤😢
  • @TheFlagnard2
When Will inhales right as the lighter strikes, I get chills every time. This album, and this trilogy in particular is a masterpiece of music.
  • You know Lorna Shore is amazing when they can make a metalhead cry like a baby
  • @ferndogg84
I love how the last lines we are left with in the 3rd song are all 3 titles in the trilogy. I really can’t praise them on how well together this album was put together. Albums like this really show how thoughtful the whole crew is. They have cemented themselves up there with the greatest of all time
  • The dude who did the acting in this was fucking incredible. The face he's making at the funeral is so accurate for me. He's not listening to anything. He can't hear anyone. He is in his head with the darkness, and there is no light anywhere. He genuinely does not care about anything anymore. In the first video we got what felt like genuine happiness, and then concern. In 2, we got what looked like a tormented soul. So for me... I lost someone who was like a sister to me, to really horrible diabetes (dialysis every other day, and she had also gone blind due to it(diabetes, not dialysis)). I was in her hospital room, trying to come to terms that she wouldn't be around for more than a couple months. Everything he displays (aside from things that happen in PR2) are emotions that I've gone through. The breakdown when "and bury me" comes in, is when I can't hold them back anymore. Walking into an empty house is so shattering, and you just feel nothing but dread, and numbness. And then the resignation to entering. The video... the music... it is perfect for that emotion. That whole buildup I can just feel my eyes starting to burn. And naturally I completely lose it at the outro I have absolutely nothing but praise for this album, and especially this trilogy. 32 years old, and it took Lorna Shore for me to get excited about deathcore. DEFINITELY my album of the year. After this came out, I honestly forgot who released albums this year. I've been looking forward to this one since they dropped the first single. As of now the only other albums that I've liked this year was Scoring the end of the World, Tekkno (I'll have to check out the new architects and nothing more albums, and also wtf wednesday13 released an album???)

This trilogy has brought to the surface a lot of feelings that I have repressed and did not allow myself to process, as I have always tried to man up and shut up. I have had too many loved ones delete themselves, and I just lost my father to cancer, who went by MAID medical assistance in dying, as he was literally suffocating to death with COPD and Stage IV lung cancer.... F@ck it, time to get some mental health help, before I end up adding myself onto the pyre. Thanks for the awesome content, and your push for people to address their mental health and seek help. This trilogy is immensely powerful in its ability to elicit an emotional response and hits like a freight train. Damn, this trilogy and your reactions to them will end up saving lives, and that is something else entirely...
  • @AllzaoMaximus
That "I love you" in absolute silence followed by the retunr of that epic melody cuts so deep into the guts it's not even funny! This album, and specially these 3 songs have made me cry, rage, curse, fear and hope all in a rollercoster I haven't felt in years. Amazing, amazing album indeed! Thank you for doing the reaction for all 3 Tank! Keep rocking and stay excellennt!
  • It's great, that you mentioned the actor. He did an amazing job with this performance The whole trilogy is an absolute masterpiece, and the album is easily the album of the year, maybe the album of the decade. I can not remember an album that blew me away like this one. Maybe "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant" by Dimmu Borgir had a similar effect on me, when I listened to it for the first time.
  • @AyyFuji
I'm 11 months behind on the trilogy, so forgive me for being late to the party, and I also feel like my emotional connection to the story is a bit different to most, but still felt like I wanted to share it. Can't deny, absolute bangers for all 3 songs, they all have their style, and their undertones, no denying that, beautiful songs. My connection to the story is a bit different, I thankfully haven't had the passing of a close friend/family member since I was younger than 11/12 I think, so before it could crush me like everyone else has experienced (sending hugs to all of you that have, you are all loved <3), but my personal connection is more linked through my own depression and 'attempted suicide' for lack of a better description. I personally didn't break until the final part in Pain Remains II, not so much because of the story meaning, but more because that exact moment was almost me. I had my own issues with my mental health, my self image, my confidence, the 'toxic masculinity' side of my head telling me to suck it up and be a man, and to stop wasting time, and work/do something (for clarification, for 5-6 years, I had long term unemployment, along with the mental health issues). I may have been in a similar situation as the character, and not taken the steps he did. I chickened out, I failed my attempt. I was probably around 20 when that incident happened. I'm now 26, I'm in a much better place in life, I have a stable job, I have a home, I have a beautiful little cat that I adore to death, and I have an actual life, compared to what my life was 6+ years ago. I'm so thankful I'm too much of a pussy to go through with it, because I'm alive, I'm here, I contribute to the world, and I have a purpose. I'm no one special, but I can now be proud of my journey, my recovery, and cherish what I have in life. I'm so thankful I have the support network of my family, and my friends, I may not have made it this far without them. 100% agree on the toxic masculinity talk, who cares about 'being a man', when guys are 3 times more likely to commit, because of this exact, bullshit thinking of what a 'man' should be. Help your mates out, check that they're okay, be there to support them. I've already gone on long enough. Thank you for doing your reactions Tank, you already know why we love you and your content, sending you a big hug. To everyone that has their own story that connects them with this song, I'm sending all of you a big hug too. Just remember, you're loved, you are here for a reason, and you matter. Reach out for help, it is always there, we all know how hard it sucks in the moment, but it will be there to support you, every step of the way. Love you all <3
  • Lorna Shore singlehandedly proved what deathcore can be, and what emotional strings band can pull without sacrificing their sound. It sounds so cheesy and over the top, but this album is breathtaking. It really is. They deserve every bit of credit they have coming to them, and I hope they can show the new generation of extreme metal bands that you can include authentic emotion in your songs without "selling out," going soft, or including clean vocals. As long as it's authentic and not an act or gimmick, it's going to win fans over. LS has been my favorite band since I heard the whole Nothingness EP and they haven't moved from that spot since. It's going to take a lot for them to lose that title for me, because I don't know how many bands can pull off something like this so seamlessly
