When I was 5, my parents and I were eating at an Outback steakhouse and Hulk sat about 4 tables away from us, no one really in the restaurant. I was a huge fan, wearing my pokemon shirt. I kept staring and my parents got mad at me. He beckoned me over, told me how much his son loved pokemon and named each one on my shirt, then signed my shirt and told me to never be shy or afraid of anything. I'll never forget that.

They way Theo describes watching Hogan as a kid is why he deserves to be on the Mt Rushmore of Wrestling. Hulk was the guy before anybody else.

I met Hulk in 1993 at a restaurant in Tampa...I had my son of 2 and he had his child about the same age...Hulk was so gracious to talk to me and my son...never forget it. Thanks Hulk

Never got into wrestling, but the way theo described it actually made me tear up . finding something to escape from being poor or neglected is life saving

Theo referring to Jimmy Snuka with “all the domestic charges” dangling off of him is an underrated moment.

someday someone’s going to have Theo on their podcast, glowing because he’s their adulthood hero.
  • "You could live another 25 or 30 years.... I mean I don't know what your plan is" God Theo is a treasure

Theo did an awesome job getting Hogan to relax and talk about things you could tell he was not comfortable discussing(like his brother dying of overdose). Props to Hogan as well for letting down his guard a bit. I hope he knows there's plenty of us left in the world that still love the Hulkster and nothing would change that. This man was an idol to many a lad while he donned the red and yellow suit. Lots of love for Hogan
  • Theo never fails to bring out the real person. A mix of humour, humility and knowledge of his guests makes him one of a kind.
  • Theo, seriously man, thank you. This is the most authentic version of Hogan I've ever seen and I'm a hulkamaniac from way back Jack.
  • @BigBoy5188
I like the way theo doesn't overcomplicate his interviews. He just says what he thinks.
  • @TheHannibalTV
This is the best interview I've seen of Hulk Hogan
  • @daerth4423
I've seen countless Hogan interviews and I think this was the best one. Something about Theo brings shit out of people that you rarely get anywhere else.

By far, Theos best episode. You can tell he really prepared for this by taking it more seriously and yet still being Theo Von.

I’ll forever be a hulkamaniac. He was more of a father to me than my own father was. Love this podcast.
  • @tfranklin1840
This man opened the door for the guys to make movies and travel like they do now. Flair and Hogan paved the way. Stone Cold took it to new heights as well. I salute these legends.

I am 44 years old and have never heard hulks story. I am getting all teary eyed and in my feelings over this one. I know this is a big "get" for Theo. Proud of him.
  • @anFy81
It's so impressive to see that at the end, when Theo was about to finish up the interview, Hulk pulled it back and told one more story. That's an amazing signal. He had a good time and genuinely liked talking to Theo. Biggest compliment he could get in this situation.
  • What a terrific interview. Hulk is so chill, Theo and his extensive knowledge of wrestling and wrestlers just made this flow so well. Hope the Hulkster comes back on. Yeah brother, gang gang
  • @Ciclopea2
I bet this was a dream come true for Theo, great way to meet his idol. Loved how he got Hulk to relax and actually engage in conversation and even reveal personal stuff through respect, humor and knowledge of the legend in front of him. Theo KNOWS how to win people over, he did a phenomenal job in this interview 👍
