Best And Worst Salt To Buy
Why Salt is Needed by the Body
Electrolyte Balance: Sodium, a primary component of salt, is an essential electrolyte that helps maintain fluid balance in and out of cells, which is crucial for proper cellular function.
Nerve Function: Sodium ions play a key role in the transmission of nerve impulses. Without sufficient sodium, nerve signaling can be impaired.
Muscle Function: Both sodium and chloride are vital for muscle contraction. An imbalance can lead to muscle cramps or spasms.
Hydration: Sodium helps regulate the body’s hydration levels by maintaining the balance of fluids in the body.
Blood Pressure Regulation: While excessive salt intake can lead to high blood pressure, adequate sodium is necessary to maintain proper blood pressure levels.
Nutrient Absorption: Sodium assists in the absorption of certain nutrients in the small intestine, including glucose, amino acids, and water.

Refined Vs. Unrefined Salt

Refined Salt:

Processing: Refined salt, commonly known as table salt, undergoes extensive processing. It is mined from underground salt deposits and then refined to remove impurities and trace minerals.
Additives: Often, anti-caking agents are added to prevent clumping, and it may also be iodized to help prevent iodine deficiency.
Appearance: It is usually white and has a fine, uniform texture.
Nutrient Content: Contains primarily sodium chloride with minimal trace minerals.
Unrefined Salt:

Processing: Unrefined salt, such as sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, or Celtic sea salt, is harvested through natural methods like evaporation of seawater. It undergoes minimal processing.
Additives: It typically contains no additives or preservatives.
Appearance: It can vary in color and texture, often retaining natural minerals that give it a coarser texture and a range of colors, from gray to pink.
Nutrient Content: Contains a variety of trace minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron, which can contribute to its flavor and color.

I live 20 miles from the Redmond Real Salt mine. Great salt and wonderful people who work there. They have a small store you can buy their products from and there are tours that take place but you need to call and schedule as they depend on the volume of requests. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, about 100 miles south of Salt Lake City. If you were going to spend a day or overnight in the area, I'd strongly suggest Richfield City close by.
  • When we have a drama the hospital will put you on a saline drip. They found in the MASH units in the Korean Conflict that their patients improved when given a saline drip. Since I have taken over my health, I have improved and good blood work results is the proof. I'm on NO Rxs. Blessings to others on their own journey to regaining their health.
  • The problem with turning to Holistic health is insurance doesn't want to honor patient preference. I started my own research as to the benefit to natural treatments. Thank you for helping me continue my reseach.

Himalayan pink salt, Celtic salt, & Redmond salt...all unrefined & all good.
  • Been using Redmonds since mid90s. Forever users here. Nothing will top it. Period.

My wife and I went on carnivore diet. Eat meat, lots of fat, and lots of SALT. She is no longer diabetic and off all blood pressure meds.
  • “Who ever designed us; designed us perfectly “ that who is God,
  • I use Redmond's real salt since it's mineral content is about the same as the Himalayan salt. Why buy from another country when you don't know how sanitary the handling is. I prefer to buy Redmond's since it comes from ancient salt mines in Utah and I trust it's more sanitary
  • Learning about food is good for kids. Processed foods arent all that good. I am glad we are getting back to what our creator gave us

Celtic salt has the most minerals it’s got 80% I put a pinch in my drinking water throughout the day , it has great healing benefits.

My sister was diagnosed with low salt after she collapsed and fell off the stage she was singing at. I told her to drink a glass of water with some salt and a pinch of sugar. Her response was “no worries, the doc told me to just eat some more chips.” I was shocked. Great way to keep them coming back.

I've been using Redmond Real Salt for 30 years. Delicious! I'm supporting Utah workers and America, not Pakistan. 👈⬅

“Find a doctor that stayed open during Covid”. Great advice, thank you for this invaluable video.

I first heard of Redmond's Real Salt from Jill Winger's "The Prairie Homestead cookbook" and ordered the salt from Redmond's not long after. I have been using it ever since. I also bought Dr. Brownstein's salt book at the time. I wish I knew about unrefined salt long before - and I wish I knew about milling my own flour years ago. My husband had heart disease and diabetes. I was hoping to help him improve his health. Like your husband, Annette, he loved salt, but the refined stuff didn't love him. He's in perfect health now with the Lord!

I also went carnivore ore after being vegetarian for over 25 years. I was dieing and in bed 6 years with care givers. I was so sick......now that I'm carnivore the cancer I had is gone , it was cured with God and my carnivore diet. I will Never ever eat vegetables or fruit , grains etc again. I'm sleeping all night, the lipedema in my legs is actually going away, my heart murder is gone, high blood pressure gone, ad mood is completely gone, I was having strokes before , I know this is right for me. I eat redmond salt and lots of it. I believe everything about food we were taught is all wrong. Now they have found that cholesterol is not bad it does not cause heart trouble . In fact the higher your cholesterol the longer you live. Has nothing at all to do with heart attacks. Also my kidneys were awful and salt has helped my kidneys.

Salt is good. Repeat: We are the salt of the world. 🙏🌹🤗🙌 THANK YOU KING JESUS!!!
  • I have used himalayan salt for years. It takes so little to season food and it really adds to the dish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
  • @robiemoore6125
That was amazing, I have made myself sick by not eating salt😢 thx Dr. Brownstein
  • I have been to two of Dr Brownsteins seminars. His books are PACKED with awesome information. I have several of his books and have not regretted buying any of them. Thank you Annette and Dr Brownstein!
