Short and sweet that’s how I like advice!! Thank you We have well water and use water softening potassium. I checked the water in my 4 tanks and they all test high for alkalinity over 300. I just put aquarium peat in all the tanks. Is this the best way to adjust it?

Thank You. RO costs .25 a gallon, so a cost effective, tip. My alkalinity, is so high. White, Crusty, buildup. I scrub, with salt and vinegar. It is an issue, for me. Take Care, Happy Fish Keeping.

what is RO water? and where can I get it? I have high alkalinity in my water and the ammonia is "stressed" as the test strip reads, blood parrot fish (your orange fish) are laying on the floor and just hanging out.. but other than that they seem fine.. I need help!

My ph is 8.4 and I'm gonna use some r/o water to mix in. If i start with 1 gallon of r/o water to 4 gallons of tap would that be ok? Than maybe get to 2 gallons of r/o water to 3 gallons of tap...

Aloha, my fish freshwater, I treated with ick guard and repeated in 24 hours also salt and 20% water change and I toke out 4 gallons of water as I have a 40 gallon tank, the fish look so much better . should I do a 50% water change today and add more salt. the only thing on the tab that was reading high was the akalinity?

Is RO water similar to distilled water??

Why would you say "just get something that goes in it" then mention nothing? Especially when there are so few choices for people who have 8.4 out of the tap.
