If I recall correctly, Roberto Laghi - a renowned music producer - once said he mixes his albums on regular Logitech speakers because that's about the same quality most of us have at home.
And it needs to sound good on those speakers.
I think the same can be applied to social media content. A smartphone nowadays is absolutely good enough to produce content, suited to scoial media consumption on a phone!
If on the other hand you want to print your photo or do other stuff with, there obviously are other methods which you should consider.
