  • You're so upbeat! Please come to my funeral - you'll open up the casket and get me running again.

"The water's starting to change to oil, that's a good sign!" Ever the optimist
  • I was born in July of 1950 and I can tell you, condition wise I can empathize with this old Model T Ford.

It's great to see that. 100-year-old vehicle running again. That's awesome

101 years old. That is amazing to me. Can't help but wonder what it looked like when it rolled off the assembly line.

There's a ton of "will it start" YouTube channels out there, but yours is definitely unique. Really enjoy yours.

re: “being in gear” The parking brake (to left of pedals) is set fully forward, which puts it into high gear. Pull it back toward you half way for neutral or all the back to you to also engage the mechanical rear emergency brakes.
  • " The head gasket is leaking... not too big of a problem" LOL I love this guy! Always great videos!

That young and all that knowledge of those antiques and so laid back and never gives up
  • Still the undisputed champion at bringing old cars back to life... However the transmission is closer to tractor than automotive. The lever is "in gear" when it is all the way down, pulled up/back engages a mechanical park brake on the rear axle, "neutral" starts somewhere in the middle. The pedals are even more confusing at first because there's three of them. The left pedal is the forward "gears", pressed is low, released is high, and neutral is somewhere in the middle. Middle pedal is pressed by itself for reverse and otherwise left alone. The right pedal is pressed for the brake. It doesn't work the way you'd think either, instead it tightened a cloth strap around the output of the single planetary gear "transmission" to stop the car. Ford didn't start using a standard transmission until 1928 on the Model A. Hopefully this helps not only Mr. Jennings but also anyone who may get to drive one of these old girls.
