You're correct, Ichigo's original getsuga color/ the color of his spiritual pressure/ aura color was originally a golden/yellow and then black color in the manga but it was changed in the anime to the blue and the red that we are all so accustomed to. And in the recent TYBW adaptation, they've made things far more manga accurate and have even added additional stuff to the show that wasn't in the manga.

The black Getsuga with the red hue outline is usually an indication of Ichigo using Getsuga while in hollowfication. There might be a few caveats within the anime, however typically that is the reason for the coloring, otherwise Ichigo's normal spiritual pressure colors range from the normal glaring blue to the fierce orange of recent.

So you have a "K.O" Meter and a Lifebar Meter. The more you combo/dmg an opponent, the more the Lifebar depletes. When a Lifebar depletes, the K.O Meter gains a stack. When you use a special move and it hits, you deal damage then to the K.O Meter. Once it runs out, you lose. That's basically how it works.

His canon color is yellow in shikai, and black in bankai. Game is reflecting that

What I've gotten from watching the trailer myself regarding how the health works is that: you each have 9 health bars (unless in the future certain characters might have less or more depending on how strong or weak they are). After characters how far is completely gone the opponent can do certain moves that will decrease a certain amount of health bars (Ex: in the trailer Ichigo does a move that gets rid of 3 but does another that gets rid of 4). Unless you're awakened which may do the more damage (remove more health bars) each character may have certain moves that can do a limited amount of times. (Ex: Strong, Weak, and Normal attacks).
