Matt Lowne, Nov 14th, 2020: "I know clipping is frowned upon" Stratz: Oh no. Anyway.

“The heat shield functions as a heat shield” Impossible
  • the fact that he made a fully functioning Eve and back SSTO that weighs less than a cockpit...
  • @moocowpong1
I love how much real physics goes into getting the most out of the extremely fake physics here.
  • @alexsiemers7898
I’d say the hatch obstruction is a worthy punishment for exploiting the heatshield as a wing
  • @Fryguy101
Me: Oh, man, my 1.8 ton rocket to Minmus and back is pretty cool! Stratz: Here's a shoebox that will get you to Eve's surface and back, and it also cures cancer.

"The Heat-Shield-Wing functions really well as a Heatshield." -Stratz, the Genius. 5:47

“Trust me, it’s really boring” 5 seconds later “The descent was also interesting” Hmmmmmm 🤔🤔
  • @giraudy221
When I said “I’m just waiting for an in atmosphere orbiter” I was joking That 2 (?) hour accent would have had me pulling my skin off in boredom, props for your patience and determination

No one: Stratzenblitz: By exploiting loopholes in the laws of reality itself, I've created a UFO!
  • @ladyellen7993
Sane Person: "Stratzen, Why don't you just use a normal rocket, and spend less than two hours on your kerbin ascent?" Stratzenblitz: "hehe, heatshields go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
  • @Aedumz672
6:07 actually, thats something that the space shuttle did! since it had to maintain a 45 degree angle of attack, it rolled from the left to the right to control its rate of descent.
  • @YF-23
Poor Jeb spend 7.5 years of his life sitting in a tiny can, getting flung around by all the forces his craft was exposed to during the long Journey
  • @hawaiian_noises
I'm wondering how the hell Brad Whistance is going to one-up this.
  • @JOSHTIME1
I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the weird looking cylinder levitate upwards for no reason at all to someone who doesn’t know what’s inside

To me, these challenges and crazy things fall more in line with speedrunning than normal gameplay. KSP isn't really... speedrun-able, it has no end goal. But all these challenges bring out that same energy of optimization, glitch-hunting, and using different versions of the game for runs that are only possible in that version.
  • ngl the intro sounded like "First off, I want to give a huge thanks to the rich for sponsoring this episode."
