She's the breakout star of the new season 4 of Netflix's mega-hit Stranger Things. Here, Sadie Sink opens up to GLAMOUR about quashing societal pressures, her views on social media, how close the cast really are and what it was like working with and becoming friends with Taylor Swift.
Few people can handle the scrutiny that comes with getting your ‘big break’ at the age of 14, yet somehow, Sadie Sink has mastered it. Now 20, the young actor belongs to a generation that is free-spirited, socially conscious and intentional in the way they live their lives and respond to the world around them. It’s clear within the first five minutes of meeting Sadie that she fits the Gen-Z bill entirely. Poised, polite and wise beyond her years, it’s hard to believe that she spent the past six years coming of age amid the chaos of being cast on one of the biggest TV shows on the planet.

Sadie is very underrated and just seems like a genuinely nice person. She’s definitely very down to earth and hasn’t let fame get to her.

When she said “I feel like myself when I’m doing absolutely nothing” .. felt! I just wanna exist & that’s when I feel best lol
  • She definitely went (or goes) to a therapist. Her techniques for managing anxiety and negative thoughts are spot on. Congratulations to her parents and herself for keeping that mental health in check! :D She's an amazing young lady.

i love how much she stayed true to herself in an industry like Hollywood, i respect her alot, such an authentic and humble young woman and one of the very few "child actors" i don't worry about.

I never really connected to her character in stranger things very much. In fact I was almost annoyed by her at times. But the new season has drastically changed my view on her. Sadie’s season 4 scene is my favorite scene of the show and she did an AMAZING job at showing the depth and emotions of the character.

I actually met her IRL and she's really friendly. I said Hi in the phot ops, she was the only one that said hi to me in the stranger things cast tbh. She felt very normal to say hi to like saying hi to the cashier at a store or something who is bubbly.
