  • I will never forgive Fox for treating Cyclops as a side character. He is the leader of the team, the Captain America for the X-men. MCU Cyclops should be like the X-men '97 version. Badass leader, who can do hand to hand combat, who utilizes his laser beam, and that SUPERHERO LANDING is 🔥
  • The “fast and loose” style young Charles works for me. He only became more careful in his steps after recovering from the drunken depression that happened after he was paralyzed

No way "The Wolverine" gets ranked higher than "First Class"
  • @LeonardoKlotz
Simon Kinberg always did a better job as a producer than as a writer Is because of him that we got "First Class", "Deadpool" and "Logan"

Unpopular opinion: Origins was not that bad. Is it a masterpiece? Maybe not. But it’s fun and I personally have a great time watching it.

15:15 I thought the Apoc Quicksilver sequence was better. Time didn’t stop and the explosion is faster than people so I was on the edge of my seat and I constantly rewatch. The first Quicksilver scene in DOFP seems more like time was frozen and while cool, there doesn’t seem to be any ticking clock to worry about.
  • It's been fun revisiting all these movies before Deadpool and Wolverine! It was awesome to see the journey of how these movies grew and evolved over the course of the Fox era, even if they had some low points. The really high points really made it all worth it. Some of those points will always go down as some of my favorite X-Men moments ever.
  • I'm not arguing that Dark Pheonix shouldn't be last, but I am arguing that there IS 1 good sequence in that movie... Magneto fighting off the (not) skrulls on the train was badass
  • No way he put Deadpool 2 at #9 just because it had too much of “Ryan Reynolds’s being Ryan Reynolds”💀
  • @krwhite02
Deadpool is not an RR movie. Characters typically should be bigger, however this casting as Deadpool is so dang accurate, it doesn't matter at all. They are the same person. He gets away with it
  • I actually think X-Men Origins Wolverine wasn't that bad. I think it gets a bad rep just because of the third act. The only thing I don't like about the film is that it's never explained why Victor doesn't remember Logan in the first X-Men film since he never got shot with adamantium bullets, so by all accounts it's a bit of a "plot hole."

I like your list. I would rate Deadpool 2 higher. I enjoyed it more after a rewatch. The movie brought more characters in and established which X-Men universe/timeline it was in.
  • @mapuia_ralte
Imo none of the X-Men movies have managed to capture the true spectacle of the 70s - 90s magic of the X-Men comics.
  • The only thing I would change is putting DOFP over X2 and potentially a 2 way tie with Logan. I feel like DOFP legitimately feels like Xmen from start to finish
  • Imagine banning the source material on set.. some of these directors are cooked
  • @honeysweet4804
for me days of future past will always be my favorite but i think logan is arguably the “best” film
  • Despite their problems the Fox X men universe will always hold a special place in my heart and its best movies are some of the best cbms period.

I agree with most of what was said. However, I love First Class so much. I have plenty of problems with the director and some of the storytelling choices, but the character work between McAvoy and Fassbender has me more emotionally invested than almost anything else in the franchise... with some obvious Logan-sized exceptions.
