[BLACKBERRY KEY2 HANDS-ON]

For much of the past year, I carried the BlackBerry KEYone as my personal smartphone – and people always asked me the same two questions in quick succession: “they still make BlackBerries?” followed by “isn’t it about time you upgraded your phone?”

Well the answer to the first question has always been "yes" – and today, the answer to the second question is, too. The BlackBerry KEY2 refines all of the best parts of the KEYone, while whittling away its little annoyances – and if it fixes one crucial dealbreaker, it's probably gonna be my next phone. This is your first look at the BlackBerry KEY2!

No notch, headphone jack and a do-whatever-you-want button? sounds nice!
  • @dragon2knight
My favorite five words are "No Notch, Yes Headphone Jack" This may very well end up being MY next phone too, Michael. I almost jumped on the original one but the keyboard was just a bit too small for my gorilla sized thumbs. Looks like that's been solved here ✔ Can't wait to try it out for myself and finally buy this beauty of a phone!
  • @Teknochi
That shortcut and full keyboard really make me wanna back to blackberry again...
  • "No notch, headphone jack yes"....BB you have my respect. I'm assuming that it doesn't have wireless charging but I'm seriously considering this phone as my next upgrade.

  • Amazing design, Yay to the Metal frame, The amazing matt Keyboard, nice frets, convenience key, speed key, camera, the textured back, the security, the improved speaker. You are not the only one who still gets excited about a Blackberry. I just called my carrier to see if they would be carrying it in the future. I have been jonesing for a tactile keyboard of late. This just may be my next phone also. Can't wait for the full review!
  • @pouldc
That was a real classy move with the price. I stuck around.

Love the design of the thing! Looks elegant, modern, and solid with that rubberized back! Quite a nice alternative to the glass and full-metal slabs we have right now ^^ Now if only we can get a wooden Moto, a sandstone OnePlus, a leather LG, and a fluorescent polycarbonate Nokia again...

So, I waited for the XCloud ad, not because you asked for it but for the hard work you put in your work. Good luck!
  • @hahadint
I willingly watched the commercial spot just because you’re such a stand up guy. Thanks for keeping this iPhone user up to date with devices that would appeal to my clients. I always look forward to your reviews
  • You are so right about missing out on the buttons! It's an incredibly satisfying way to enter text. Finger to glass just isn't the same...
  • @bandhanjha8563
