    The reason people use vocal riding is because compression has a sound. If your vocals have too much dynamics, relying purely on compressors will result in a more uneven sound.

  • After compressing and re-rendering the vocals, I suggest applying direct volume curves to finalize the track. Another tip: emphasize vowels like "a," "o," and "u" in the refrain words occasionally. 👇 Otherwise, your refrain could sound cheesy and boring.
