Nice old tractor, glad you and your grand uncle got it running.
  • You make a bracket to flip over so both pedals are tied in together when pressed just like the bigger machines ,then you have the option to only use one break for turning or two for the road safety

Nice looking tractor there. Those front wheels really look well too. Be very careful with this tractor they are very addictive.  I started w/ just one. Now I have 2 and my 12 year son has one also. Came close to picking up a 4th 2 weeks ago. Thanks for sharing.

  • We have 2 power king/economy tractors. Built for a lifetime! Great machines.

Folks, I own two of these machines, both medal bodied ones. Can't say enough of how really great these tractors are. When Power King began changing their tractors in the mid 80's and went with the plastic/fiberglass hood, other guys out there nick named them, Plastic King Tractors. I loved the way they looked, they were heavy duty, monster machines. Now I'm gonna be totally honest with yinz on this. The Plastic King tractors had a bad reputation of the transmission. When the clutch went, it took the transmission right along with it to. That's sad as they were so beautiful of a tractor there when they redesigned them, wish I could get one, however I stayed away from one that I ran across because of the information I was told about the transmission. If it weren't for that problem, the tractor would have been mine. I promise you on that.

Austen, That's a bad ass POWER KING my friend!  I would like to modify my front grill and hood to look like your 70's.  Its a lot longer and gives it a better look. Good vid!

thank you for your time i really want one of these tractors i was looking into getting a 60" bad boy zero turn they run about 6k but when i found out that i can get a 60" belly mower for one of these and they can do so much more than just mow for about a 3rd of the price i have been looking for one ever since and the fact that they are just super cool dont get me wrong i like my wheel horse c145 but no 60" deck for it am looking for a 2418 i think these little tractors have a great place on a small homestead like mine with a few attachment will save a tone of labor the main reason to buy one with a few attachments the front end loader 60 belly mower a tiller a plow and a box blade would be nice but i dont think i will have a tone of money tied up in it.

These vintage mini tractors were great. They're getting more and more difficult to find in excellent condition.

My grandfather's tractor has a flip over bar on the brakes to run them both at once

I have been riding this tractor since I was an infant. I remember as a child it scared the hell out of me when the starter would crank. So loud.
  • @corydunaway
Hold on to that thing. They're getting more and more hard to find

  • @jacoblong6521
I've heard it's very hard to get parts for clutch or transmission like you can't get them.
  • i have a 76 1614 with no pump belt can you see if there is a part # on yours do you know how long it is and does it have a break in it to install it.
